Is messy hair on a guy attractive?

It has got to my attention that many people and some models use messy hair, however I've seen some other people tell these people stuff like "Dude did you just wake up?" Obviously, we're all about looks here, so do you think messy hair is attractive or would you rather have/see a nice combed hair?

As a guy's opinion:
Yeah messy hair can look cool if it doesn't look too polished. But it also depends on what your wearing because you don't want a messy hairstyle when your wearing a suit. That just won't look right.
If your wearing a polo or button up with jeans, than that will look cool.

I think there's a difference between messy hair and hair styled to look messy. Styled messy is a fashion statement (which I don't get) whereas just messy says 'I don't care about myself so imagine how I feel about you'.

For me it depends, I'm honestly not going to give a damn if you have messy hair or not if you are an absolute donkeyhole. Have a good personality is really my advice.
