This girl in our class is tall and has a great body and mostly dresses with hoodies or in a tomboy way. A lot of guys crush on her.
However my friend keeps dissing her and says she is least pretty in the class and she doesn't even have a style. She is my friend but its annoying. I don't know why she looks down on every other girl around. Im worried she will look down on me too bc i dress in the same way. Would u say i dont have a style?
I really don't care what a girl is wearing. It's all about character and how you present yourself. Tbh, I love girls in casual outfits like hoodies, PJs, t-shirt, etc. I wear casual dress on all regular days in school or with friends. I just put on my t-shirt or hoodie, track pants or blended pj and sneakers. And trust me, girls really like me in these outfits. I only wear jeans and formals if I've to attend a party or function.
So don't worry about what your dressing style. Wear whatever you like. It will make you much more comfortable and confident.

That's me on regular days. I just change the t-shirt, and put a pj or shorts with different sneakers.
This white top is India's tradition dress. I wore that on our indepencde day. I wear such dresses in marriages or festivals.
That sounds super-bizzare as a view. You have far too much time to worry about thing massively inconsequential. Your friend is probably jealous. You are not worried about your style but about having friends who dislike each other - and that the more popular of the two will cut you off (that thing so popular amongst women as means of showing how mean and aggressive one is - as if that is a good thing/something to be proud of). Get some sense and chill a bit. Or, even better, study/learn something. It's the purpose of the school.
I think it depends on the person and how attractive they are, as superficial as that sounds.
I dress casual all the time: no one bats an eye at me. Yet the few time I dress up, usually for a work related function? Everyone looks at me differently, or is shocked at how nice I look. The first thing they usually ask or say is, "Why are you all dressed up?" or, "Wow, you look good wearing that..." Yeah, good to know no one notices me unless I'm dressed somewhat feminine :|
Yet I've seen people that wear lounge pants or baggy t-shirts all the time and they constantly get attention from others! So again, it depends on the person and how attractive they are, and how they carry his or herself.
I guess I don’t have a style then either. I think at my age, hoodies give people the impression that I’m a lot younger than my age and the fact that I already look young makes me feel like I’m 12 years old. I actually stopped wearing hoodies this year and started to dress more womanly like cargo sweaters. Anyway, there’s nothing wrong with casual style and all my life the guys around me didn’t mind it. It’s a personal preference and one I chose to stop doing.

She can complain, but the other girl gets all the guys anyway. So obviously either what she's saying is wrong or doesn't matter. Guys don't give a F about your style, only women do. And they complain in the manner shown as if girls should care what she thinks. What the hell is the point of "style" if they're just going to be like her; not getting attention from guys? And if it's not about guys and it's actually because she "enjoys looking nice" or whatever and she actually believes what she's saying then whats the problem? She can gaze into a mirror and caress her perfectly styled attire while the other girl gets crushed on, everyone wins... unless... she's just being a catty bitch.
Yeah I wouldn't date someone who's only style is casual. However some guys do prefer tomboys or casual, also casual can also look good like picture above. She's at least put some effort in appearance.
Also like you mentioned she has a great body that could compensate for her lack of effort , however likely also means she's punching below her weight. By that I mean if she put more effort she'd get attention from equivalent dating value.
But like I said tomboy/casual doesn't necessarily mean bland. So other girls *might* have a point, otherwise they'd probably see your friend as competition.
Wearing casual clothes all of the time is really ordinary. Nothing's special nothing's flashy so maybe that's why people say you don't have style. I always wear casual clothes too anyway, i don't care if people say anything bad about the way i dress. I don't live to please them anyway.
I think your friend is looking for adulation, and putting others down makes her happy.
This other person hasn't done anything wrong. For all you know she might do something in the evenings and weekends where she looks really glamorous.
The real question is what kind of people do you want to hang out with. People who like putting others down and you're always worried you're next. Or people who are kind?
Style is style, unless you friend works for Cosmo, Vogue, or Elle sounds like your friend is just hatin'. Some would say hate is confused admiration, sounds like the case in your friends dislike for the hoodie tomboy girl. Think nothing of it. If you can attract other by simply wearing a hoodie and jeans, well hell more power to ya! Be simple & be comfortable!
I think it has less to do with the way she dresses and the fact that your friend is likely jealous of her. It's very typical of jealous girls to try to pick apart the appearance of girls they're jealous of or feel intimidated by.
Otherwise, I prefer to dress casual, myself. I don't see it as unattractive, but other people might. It really depends on individual taste.
Just because you dont dress up for school it doesn't mean you dont have style. I went to school in a sweatshirt and sweatpants or tshirt and running shorts. In high school sure people cared more about their look but half the time it didn't matter. College no one dressed up, half of my class was in pjs. Usually the people that dont normally dress up really shine when they actually do.
No. She's jealous and she needs to mind her own business. Honesty. Why are you friends with such people? And she will do it to you. Remove yourself from that toxic person. Because when your around that person, watch how you will lose interest of other good and decent people. She's mean.
Well it depends on what your doing and where your going. Like if your going to a party then maybe I would wear a dress but if I’m just hanging with my friends or going for a walk then I’d wear my sweats and a hoodie. Just adjust your outfit to what your doing. Wear what’s most comfortable and will make you feel good
Personally I prefer a person who dress casual and who dresses up. People dress anywhere from not caring how they look ( wrinkled close, clothes with a bunch of holes, colors that are awful together, dirty clothes, clothes that are too tight or too baggy, etc) to dressing to the nines or close to it all the time. You dress how you want to.

Hoodies and sweatpants together are really bad and ugly; on both boys and girl, but hoodies and jeans are actually pretty cute on us girls, as long as it matches :)
I prefer to dress up more but when its a test day, I go comfy all the way (aka a hoodie and jeans).
@locoloco68 So you do not care how a woman dresses. What if she had on a wrinkled goldenrod colored shirt, perriwrinkle colored leggings with a bunch of holes in them and 3 inch olive green heels on? Would that not bother you either or would you not care.

I can't spell for shit. Have the best clothes I speak to text faster can't do two handed like I see my daughters do it looks good before I send then all of a sudden it changes sometimes
Your friend is just jealous if the attention that girl gets. Dressing casually isn't a problem. The only time you need to change is in a professional background.
No - I often find it very attractive though that said I like the clothes/person to be clean/well maintained in their casual gear, a slight strange thing to say but I would say like girl in pic as opposed to wearing clothes that are scruffy.
I asked my friend Mark Zuckerberg about style and he said it can be as simple as wearing the same grey t-shirt every day. I think he's a jerk but I have to admit he's been successful.

Casual does not mean less attractive. Sounds like she dresses how she wants regardless of what people feel.
It is unattractive for me, especially when socializing. Wear what you want alone at home, but there’s nothing to praise about lazy dressing when in the public view
Nah if you crush on someone it's because you like them who they are. They probably look good in anything. Which means your friend is jealous of her looks and yours as well.
