In general the organs slow down over time
Metabolism slows down
Heart rate drops
Energy levels drop
These factors make it more difficult to lose weight and build muscle as a person ages
The earlier a person works on maintaining optimum health in diet and exercise the longer it will take for the body to age
If a person has not been making healthy choices and exercise, they can immediately start making improvements until they reach optimum performance
Sleep studies can also help determine if the body is properly recharging at night.

Yes they do for everyone eventually. No one 85 looks like a 21 yr old. Some just age better than others.

It becomes easier to put on weight but women if they were a thin healthy weight in their teens and twenties if they eat right, exercise, maybe don't drink, smoke or do drugs or at least not excess can still look great even in their 40s as they do put on weight. Model/actress Kelly Brook is a good example of what I mean.
Its a multitude of things but yes. Physical activates slow due to illness or injury. At this time metabolize slows down and we start eating more probably due to boredom. As we get older we start eating less sleeping less and greatly drop in weight. Our bodies start slowing down and eventually failing us. From what I have seen this is extremely common. The fix is never quit working and stay very very active both mentally and physically not always easy but these people live longer do not go through the weight gain and are much healthier!
Yeah, it's partly to do with hormones and partly to do with how well you take care of yourself. I used the NEVER be more than about 190 pounds until I got in my late 30's and, even though I was still busting ass at work and with the bad (on drums) I was gaining weight! I eventually got up to at least 365 lbs.!! My recent (the previous 5 or 6 years) life situation hasn't helped at all but, somehow, I've been losing a lot of weight the past few months!! I'm down to about 290, now and HOPE to keep going `til I'm back to at LEAST 250!!
I saw a documentary several years ago about humans and aging. The basic result is that, regardless of race or culture, males and females follow the same general thing.
At birth, the shape of Male and female bodies are similar
At puberty, the Male body becomes more square while the female body becomes more curvy
As they age, Male and female bodies both become rounder
In old age, the shape of both Male and female bodies becomes round, and similarYes, some bodies do change. My aunt told me that over a period of years the blood of our bodies change and some medications we can take and some we can't take all depends also when people get older they seem to gain weight while some lose weight I was always the guy who had issues losing weight and my metabolism sucked big time
Of course I'm 6'5" and I remember when I was around 20 I weighed 175 and thought I was fat then. Lol
Now I'm 250 which is overweight at my height. But I can't imagine ever getting back to 175 even though I exercise every day. I think we all just gain more mass as we age.you mature, hormones change tec you are always changing even your teeth change, they shift and move over time i think every 3 years
"Do bodies change when you get older?"
I SURE HOPE SO!!!Yea of course it does but if you take care of yourself consistently for years (aka lifestyle) then you will be fine, assuming you don't have bad genetics.
All your body does is change as you get older and mostly not in a good way. Every day it seems there is something else that is messed up.
I think bodies do change with age. I got thinner than I was when I was younger.
no they stay the exact same until death from birth. i exited my mother a full grown man.
you don't necessarily get fatter just from aging. but bodies do change since they get more wrinkles and stuff like that.
With age, bodies change, but some more some less, I am 43 but people say I look like 30
duh. would a 20 year old look like a 80 year old?
Uhhh yeah that’s pretty normal
Obviously...
Unfortunately, yes.

Duh.
