Do you agree it doesn't make sense, when someone says an average or ugly person's face is better looking when they put on nice clothes?

It doesn't make sense to me when someone that thinks someones face is ugly or average before, think their face is all of a sudden handsome or whatever, just cause they put on some nice clothes. It is like putting lipstick on a pig. The person's looks don't change just cause of different clothes. For example Donald Trump still has an ugly face, even though he wears suits, etc all the time.

I think it can make a difference but maybe not as much as hair/facial hair. For example look at Marc Maron. He's someone who I don't think looked too attractive when he was younger but he changed his hairstyle grew some facial hair and started wearing better clothes and glasses. Because of this he went from being not that attractive to very attractive in my opinion.

Well it shows they put in some kind of effort. Ugly person with bad hygiene, poor grooming and wearing ragged cheap clothes vs ugly person doing everything within their power to look as decent as possible.

So yes nice clothes can help an ugly person.

That's sarcasm, who cares what your face looks like, improve your other Traits, your acting like a fit dude with abs, a nice car, a nice house, that knows how to cook, is good with kids, and has good savings would be overlooked just cause of a face.

Bald isn't usually a popular look but plenty of carasmatic, fit and handsome men make it work.
