Are you satisfied with your physical appearance?

Other people haven’t been coming up to me and being stuff like “You are ugly” or “You are not pretty.”

This is entirely based on my own feelings. I personally just don’t feel satisfied with my reflection and physical appearance. I don’t hate the way I look. I just don’t like it that much.

Not at all; I'm probably the worse critic of myself- but then most people usually hate their appearance.

I've always had really poor self esteem towards myself: growing up I was chubby, dressed like a tomboy (baggy clothes, hair was... rough looking at best). I once had a guy tell me he thought I looked like a guy in a picture when I showed him a picture with me and a former friend.

... he also said the friend looked more attractive than I did. Yeah, I'm serious... probably explains why guys never asked me out in college, lol. So needless to say, that sure as hell didn't help my self esteem and confidence towards my appearance.

That was years ago, so I'm not as much of an "ugly duckling" as I was back then: I've lost weight, wear more feminine looking outfits, changed my glasses, my hair is styled regularly...

But I'm still very insecure and unhappy with my appearance. That's why I exercise regularly (to maintain my weight I've lost, along with losing the rest), and dress cute to feel better about myself. In addition, I no longer post my pictures online to avoid dealing with trolls or people judging me, nor do I stay glued to social media- I swear constantly looking at women online, especially social media, is bad for your mental health! (I'm sure men feel the same way, but I'm speaking from a female perspective).

So I get you anon; I do. Just because others think you look "fine," when you see another female getting called gorgeous, sexy, or getting constant attention... while you're just there, doesn't do much for one's self esteem.

Or when someone says you have a "great personality..." isn't that a nice way of saying, "You're not that attractive, but at least you have other attributes that stand out?"

Oh my mother have called me short and no one will want me. Guess what. I am doing great. I am average but my confidence is out of this world. My success and my personality trump outer beauty.
I wouldn’t waste my time worrying about how others look. Because most have low self worth.
so you either stop comparing yourself to other women because there will always really good looking people out there …but do you know who they are inside? They might be sad, depress, in debt…etc…

so work on your self esteem … that will last you forever!

Satisfied - sort of. Most of the time, it’s like… eh, good enough for what I’m going to do. But overall, no. I’m short, fat, and ugly. I’m working on the fat part, but for the time being…

I’m getting dark gray - I wasn’t good looking when I had dark hair, but it was a little better. Can’t afford to constantly dye it. I have huge bags under my eyes from lack of sleep. I’m too short for most women, and too short for being useful. I can just barely help little old ladies at the store and that’s more by ingenuity than being able to reach.

I would guess that MANY people have something they do no like with their appearance. I wish I were 20 years younger!! I am happy with my features (I should be, I paid enough for them LOLOL) I've had more plastic surgery than Michael Jackson, but am happy with the result (s)

I’m satisfied I see prettier women too but it’s not a competition they aren’t me and so different there’s no comparing. i just think 😃’so pretty’ and carry on with life lol I prefer a nice view when I first moved to US I was kinda sad because where I was all the girls were very obese and dressed ugly, I was really lonely too it wasn’t just that but it was such a shocking difference.

I'm fairly average in appearance, and I will say this: being very pretty has its disadvantages.

I have a friend who is significantly more attractive than me. I've found my soulmate. She hasn't. She's dated more guys than me though. She attracts guys like flies. She has to fish through more guys than I ever did. Her odds have been worse than mine.

I attracted my husband based on my intelligence, not my looks. He is my best match, and physical attraction was both our last priority. We're attracted to each other now that we're together, but we're definitely a living testament to the fact that sometimes, LOOKS CAN GET IN THE WAY.

So play to your strength if you're not the absolute prettiest girl in the room. Let your personality shine, and you'll attract a guy attracted to you for the right reasons.

Eh you will with time and if there’s anything in particular you aren’t “enthused” about, you can slightly adjust it, and with all the minor adjustments you may discover a terminological “glow up.”

I was the same way, but not anymore.

I’m satisfied and whatever bothers me, especially anything health-related, I will take care of. I love me and that’s just how it’s always gonna be.

I've spend majority of my life hating myself & how I looked. I constantly compared myself to others but I forgot to take their whole appearance into account. I'd look at another woman and think "I wish I had her lips" or "I wish I had her waistline" - my ideal look was a Mitch match of traits I saw in different women.

I'm by far any beauty queen but I am very satisfied with how I look today. I've changed the things that can be changed - for example, not obese anymore - learn to deal with my curls and just take better care of myself as a whole. I've also learned to accept the things about myself I don't love but can't change.

I know plenty of ugly people that get respect and boyfriends. If you are hard working and respectful, and wear appropriate clothes, you won’t get picked on by normal people. You might have mentally unstable villains that attack you due to being very immature, but people like that are worth nothing at all.

Definitely not. And it’s not even comparing myself to anyone. I just know what I see in the mirror and, I just don’t like it. I used to feel like a monster. Like a non feminine potato. But I lost over 100lbs and it helped. But my body never went back to normal. I need surgery and lots of exercise. But my face, not too happy either. I try makeup but, it doesn’t help much and I’m not a fan if too much makeup. Maybe one day I’ll be rich and fix everything.

No I'm not because my face is very asymmetrical and flat, while my teeth are very crooked. Other people do tell me I'm average looking, but most people's faces are more symmetrical and teeth more straight. If it weren't for the plandemic, I would've already paid for braces by now (my parents only paid braces for my sister, but not me sexist bastards).

beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just because a few people find you pretty, it doesn't necessarily mean everyone finds you pretty. I don't think i am beautiful but i certainly have been told that im beautiful.

Some day yes though when you add in the emotional damage from being cheated on or used for sex you tend to question if your ugly or if you feel filthy from all the people who have used you. Not to be dark just my experience with it
