Do men or women have it easier when it comes to hot weather and clothing?

I see arguments for both sides. My first thought was women have it easier just put on a crop top and a short skirt or hotpants and you are fine. Sun dresses ar a valid option too. But then I remember it is mostly expected of us to wear a bra and men can sometimes go topless or at least with an open shirt to the same places.
Then if you look at 80s fashion comparable things to hot pants where totally accepted and in fashion for men. So while I still think we have it easier we are mostly expected to wear the most at the worst parts and men kinda did it on themselves.

Men have it easier.

Women have it easier.

Men had it easier but fashion changed too much.

Its too situational for a clear answer.

Depends on the situation. IMHO, bras are unnecessary in the first place, so every lady should go ahead and trash them.

Yes, men can go top free, but places have started getting rid of the puritan dogma of how women should dress by thinking for equal opportunity, but still has a long way to go. Hell, most people are still hung up on needing to wear swimsuits.

A lady in a light sundress and nothing else, except footwear, is the coolest option for hot weather for either sex since you won't find the majority of guys wearing a male version of a sundress, if there is one.

It's much easier for a woman to show skin in most situations when it's hot. For example, a woman can wear a crop top to a restaurant... I guy can't ho topless.

I think that women have it easier, but not in terms of clothing since sure, women can wear short shorts and crop tops, but men can easily go topless and wear shorts. Women typically run cold whereas men typically run hot. So in terms of body temperature, I believe that women have it easier with keeping cool in hot weather.

Clearly, women have it easier in the summer.

It goes the other way in the winter... a skirt or dress can be downright cold unless you're wearing tights with it... I'm not a big fan of pants !!!

I am similar. Layering tights works quite okeyish though 🙈.
Depends how cold it gets though. These winters are sometimes extremly cold and then nothing seems to keep me warm. 🥶

Yeah thats what I thought too but its not really accepted anywhere. Sure men can legally do it but when they go shopping or into cities like that, they would still be looked at as weird for doing it.

true but "weird" is not "arrested". I used to live in a hot place, and would go without a shirt a lot. If I popped into a store, I put my shirt on, it's air conditioned in there so doesn't matter at that point. I didn't care or notice anyone giving me "weird" vibes. I was not envious of women who had to maintain a top in 100F+ weather always.

• My girlfriend wear loose shirt open button without bra on along with micro tight fitting figure hugging denim shorts.
• Ahe remains at home with only Gstring on or naked.
• At beach get topless.

my opineon is that everybody can wear what they like. personally i dont like clothes at all. i prefer to be naked at home. if i have to wear. mostly casual. shirt and shorts. women clothing have much more choice. skirts dresses pants. hotpants etc. so i think it barely even. yeah only the topless thing is in male advantage. altough i rather like to see 1 woman topless then 10 man 😜

Sadly law doesn't agree with that. Yeah women have much more options and much more variation with the 'same' choices, skirt/= skirt same with tops. Tshirts are all closely the same.

In a lot of institutions it is considered inappropriate for men to wear shorts and show their legs a bit.

Obviously women. They wear less to begin with, and nobody complains when they start stripping off.

I agree with the first part but I think it's the opposite for the later part. Men can easily and legally wear less they just often dont for some reason.
