I don't really want anything to do with him because of the way he used me for sex in the past (even though he never said he wanted a relationship), but I felt used. It's been a while since we last talked and he's been randomly texting me here and there, so I was wondering if I should finally reply to him with small conversation because I'm bored right now?

No! Don't compromise yourself because of "boredom." It may seem innocent, but if he hurt you (accidentally or otherwise) you are going to regret talking to him again. Plus, if he was using you for sex ad you text him out of the blue, he's probably going to assume you want to hook up again. Don't do that to him or yourself.
