yea if a guy asks this, he probably wants a date.
but not all guys like to go out to eat all the time.
and think about it, we usually have to pay if we take you out for dinner
so if we are getting lots of dates, we are also spending lots of money
if we aren't 'going dutch'
imagine if every time you went out with a guy, you were expected to fork out
for nice restaurants. Even if he has plenty of money, it doesn't really seem fair, especially
in this modern world we live in where women can make just as much or more than a man.
When a guy takes a hottie out, sometimes it can feel like she may only be doing it because
shes getting a nice time for free. Sometimes we ourselves if she would be coming if she had to pay for herself, or even more taboo, pay for both!
But most of us guys understand that this is just the way it is, and that if we could do it, we probably would, so no hard feelings.
However the minimum girls could do would be to cook him a meal sometimes. Many guys would prefer staying in with a warm cooked meal by a lovely lady, than to go to a restaurant. Love is in the cooking ^^
They don't say, ' the way to a mans heart is through his stomach' for no reason.
Its true if you got a lovely girl who cooks for you as opposed to being taken and paid for everywhere she goes, we view them as more of a 'keeper'.
Girls who are 'keepers' just have a certain quality about them , like she wants to take care of you and doesn't always need you showering her with resources.
to your question of why would he turn around and be rude after a flirt. You could just say that the guy is an ass which is probably true. But if you analyse it, he wanted something from you, and he didn't get the desired response and he obviously hasn't been taught the appropriate social behaviour to not getting what he wants. so he's an ass and you should ignore people like that
