Why does she keep talking to me!?

A old class mate always talks to me about relationships. When we first started talking I told her she was the type of girl I was interested in and I got the "your my friend" speech, which I accepted.

I rarely start the conversation, but if I'm on facebook and she has "news" she talks to me, and if she had a "crisis" she will text me. And when its something big she will talk to me for hours on end. I don't want to hurt her feelings and I never turn a friend down if they need to talk (its the therapist in me).

But all she wants to talk about is her relationship issues, and such and she never takes my advice, if I don't offer an opinion she gets mad. She says she likes the way I think and values my input, but she ignores it and she KNOWS I like her and still choose to talk about her latest relationship. She started talking about the possibility of having sex with him and I was really uncomfortable thinking about that and I said its not my place to talk about this, and she said your the one guy friend I can ask this about, and I just told her I was uncomfortable talking about this and got off line.

Why pressure me into talking about these things? What does she want of me?

Basically, you're her b.itch. She can say or do anything to you, and you keep coming back for more. You think you can help her, or change her, or make her see that you're the guy for her. It isn't going to happen. And, at this point, why would you want her anymore? You've seen how ridiculous she can be. It's got to be annoying you and p.issing you off to keep hearing about each of her stupid decisions and mistakes. I know, because I've been in your shoes.

The best way to stop it is to ignore her. Don't get sucked into her bulls.hit. If you just can't help yourself, try this tactic. If she brings up this guy she is thinking about having sex with, tell her you think she should do it. Ask her to do you a favor and video tape it for you. Tell her to do some sick s.hit with him, and that you want to hear all about it. She'll stop bugging you.

She's not your friend. She's not going to be your girlfriend. You're just the poor bas.tard that she wants to dump all of her s.hit on. Let her go and move on with your life. She isn't worth your time.

That's not fair on you and I don't know why she'd do that.

Tell her that you know you guys can't be together but you don't want to hear about what she does with other guys and it's not fair for her to talk to you about it. Tell her it hurts that she always goes to you for advice but never listens to it. I know you don't want to hurt her feelings but she needs to know that you won't always be there when she needs help, especially with relationships. She needs to think for herself sometimes because it sounds like she always seems to have a problem.
