He kissed me and now ignoring me?

I go to uni with this guy, we've been acquitance/friends for 2 years, recently we ran into each other and started texting, last night we we hanging out , he helped me to fix my car, introduced me to his housemates, we went out to dinner, afteward he came over to my place and we watched a movie. He leaned in for a kiss and that ended up with us making out and touching a lil. Around 11 pm, I realized I had to go meet a friend, so I abruptly told him I had to leave and I drove him home first. He seemed a little taken back which is understandable. Before he left, he asked whether we'll finish the movie on saturday. I said I'm free saturday. He said he'll text me and gave me a goodnight kiss...BUT last night which was Friday I texted him to ask about the next day, he just said he has a kegger on Saturday night and didn't even ask to reschedule. I also apologized about the night before and he said not to worry about it ...I'm so confused..Does he like me , if yes, then why the sudden change?

THERE"S ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL INVOLVED in this..we were just two friends hanging out ..in the past 2 years I've known him..i know he's a very genuine/nice guy, but he's really confusing me..plz help!

He might be confused as well. It sounds like he might have taken your leaving as a sign you aren't really into him. It sounds like he really doesn't want to get rejected twice. He might be afraid of that which caused him to avoid you. Either that or he was nervous that he might have ruined what friendship you had.

i texted him to ask about Saturday though..shouldn't that be enough encouragement that I wanna see him again? Should I text him again in a little while ask him to hang out? I'm so confused..

I think he might be scared/confused that it'll happen again. Texting him again wouldn't be a completely horrible idea.
