Why is she so hot and cold?

This girl I've been texting for awhile now has been really hot and cold. At times she seems really interested and we will text each other a lot, then sometimes she doesn't seem interested at all and won't text back so I stop texting her.

This has been going on for a few months since I've known her. I've talked to her a bit when I see her at parties, but otherwise we haven't hung out. I tried hanging out with her several times back when we talked the most but our schedules never worked out.

Any comments or advice?

They are just tests and games that women play because they have a low interest level, think about it: Will a woman interested in you really play games? I don't think so right? I am not saying to throw the towel because low interest doesn't mean that she will not want to date you, it means that you just have escalate to get up her level. I would stop texting and don't go for dates yet, I would just go for parties or any social gathering to talk to her and get her level up!. Don't do dates, dates are awkward and would make you nervous and her as well. Get her level up, make out with her, get to know her and tell her what a great man you are. Dates should follow but I just don't think yet.

Thanks for the reply. As I said, back when we texted a lot I tried to hangout with her a few times but we never got around to it with our schedules. I almost gave up because she didn't seem interested until I talked to her best friend who told me this girl liked me and to keep trying. Fast forward to the other night and we texted a lot but today she's not replying. I honestly don't know what to think. This girl's behavior is frustrating...

Women may play games when they've been through rough relationships. Imagine the first two boyfriends a girl had she threw herself on them and showed lots of interest, and they ended up both cheating on her.She's gonna be more careful about who she lets into her life. She's gotta find someone who really wants her, and is willing to work and play her game and take it slow and take time to get to know her, before she lets you in.

As a man I hate those games, but they do sometimes have a purpose.

No girls play games because it is fun for them, yes it is also because they are carefull or who to date but ALL women are like that regardless, to be honest it is one of the few reasons that they do it. They do it also because it turns them on feeling chased by a guy, who can be a potential boyfriend.

instead of texting her, just ask her out. if she blows you off, you have your answer and no more time wasted on chasing someone who either isn't interested or afraid of committment.

her friend may say the girl is interested in you just to keep some sort of drama in their lives to gossip about and/or as an ego boost. Frankly, if the girl doesn't say yes and then actually follow through with a date with you, then I say drop it and move on. No one needs to prolong the unncessary heartache of a person being hot and cold. Its just cruel.

coz when I am into a guy, I will be consistent with my words and actions. but if I'm not into him, ill reply for a bit and won't follow through. and if I like him, I won't be too buzy to see him. no excuses. so I think she doesn't like you the way you like her.

Thanks for the advice. I've moved on from this girl already. About a month later her best friend tried to get me to come over and watch a movie with her and this girl. I didn't go because this girl definitely wasn't into me.

Mind games are dumb. I'd much prefer being straight forward about things, but let's be honest: the chase, the games, and the frustration of not knowing are what makes the beginning interesting. If people said how they felt right away you would get bored and move on.

As for this girl her best friend told me she likes me and not to give up, but lately this girl just hasn't seemed that interested until the other night when we texted a lot. Not today though. :-/

Lol. Well it's certainly working. I've wanted to move on and meet other girls (which I have somewhat), but I keep coming back to this girl and she keeps playing hot and cold and it's just messing with me. I wish she'd pick one or the other though... :-(

Texting is great, but it can't be the whole thing. Try to get together with her in person even if its something small, short in time, or whatever. Texts are more of the inbetween...when you don't have time to get together or talk on the phone.

Yes I understand that. It's mostly just been texting with this girl though. The few times I've called her she replied in text...I'm also not a fan of talking on the phone other than to set up a date. I have tried to hang out with her back when we talked a lot, but lately it's just been random texts every now and then. I also visited her at work a few times, but that isn't the same as "hanging out"
