Okay so I’m really confused here and any opinions or answers are welcome. So to begin, I am 29 and the guy in question here is probably a year or 2 older than I am (my guess.) this guy and I see each other every day twice a day because we take our kids to the same school.
Within the last few months I’ve caught him looking at me and he seemed slightly attracted to me. I've caught him staring, he helped me once when something dropped on the ground and he picked it up, he has smiled at me many times and even winked at me once and had said hi to me on multiple occasions.
Now at first I’ll admit I was completely oblivious to his “flirting” and whatnot and just chalked it up to friendliness. But then realized he’s not that way to anybody else. And then I woke up one morning and realized omg he might be interested in me!!! It totally made my day and I had every intention of approaching him and speaking to him so that we could exchange numbers and find each other on Facebook or something.
So the day I was going to approach him he suddenly became quiet and distant. He stopped saying hi, he stopped looking at me and when I’d look at him he’d look away.
How did things change in just a weekend? He was just saying hi to me the week before then the next week I don’t exist? I feel like he probably didn’t think I was interested and his advances went unnoticed so he “gave up.” I still would love to speak to him and exchange numbers but I’m so worried of it being pointless now.
Does a guy just change seemingly over night like this? Or is he very shy and waiting for me to show interest in him? He always seems shy and kinda awkward or preoccupied now when I see him. If only humans were able to read each other’s thoughts. 😔😔 Anyway, any information or help on how I proceed is very appreciated.
