How would you react if someone tried to compliment your eyes but got the color completely wrong?

My eyes are similar to those in the pic you posted (I've literally gotten everything from people calling them blue/grey/seafoam green, etc..). I mean... it's very possible that what their colour looks like changes according to lighting plus what I'm wearing. Like if I wear something light blue on top, there's a 99% chance that most people will make compliments about how blue my eyes are. Likewise with green.🤷

I don't really care in the end. It's just eye colour so nbd.

I hear it all the time that people say I’m have nice blue eyes. I have green eyes. I don’t mind that they say the wrong color, but sometimes they assume that blond haired women have blue eyes and I feel somehow objectified that I’m the ‘blond blue girl’. But I like compliments and I will never be angry at it.

That never happened to me since my eyes are just brown. I think it's the blue/green types that get confused. But I think I wouldn't mind so much because people give me compliments that are off all the time, like, "You're so smart!" They made a huge mistake. But I know they mean well, and I appreciate the gesture.

Well, I have very dark brown eyes that appear black most of the time. So, I doubt someone would get the color of them wrong. If they did, I’d say something humorous like “Well, I don’t know if your compliment would change, but my eyes are actually [insert actual color].”

My eyes are hazel but get mistaken for brown often. Its OK I just correct them and explain that they're hazel. I'd still take the compliment though. I've gotten compliments about my eyes when they look more green however and that definitely feels really nice! My eyes look best when they're on the greener side but that really depends on the lighting.

I mean, how shjtty of them to choose something they don't even know what the truth is to compliment.
But I'd also throw a compliment back at them with the wrong details and hopefully the awkwardness either kills or saves the interaction XD

I do it all the time. I am pretty mischievous person, and even call them different names, and give compliments that are totally irrelevant. It's fun.

If same happened to me, i would just laugh it off and take it as mischief.
