When you can't stop thinking about someone, they're thinking about you too?

Question

I've had friends and people telling me that when you get that really weird feeling that you can't stop thinking about someone, they must be thinking about you too.. It's not like when someone just goes through your mind, it's kind of a stronger feeling you get in your chest and you can't stop thinking about that someone. Is it possible our cosmic energies or something allow us to do this?

Do you believe this could happen and how exactly?

In my case.. I don't know if it counts but there's this someone I can't seem to stop thinking about; he goes through my mind sometimes and it's really annoying cause even when I'm trying to concentrate on something else I just can't; I keep really thinking about him... of course I think of him in a special way :/ I was just wondering if it's cause he might have been thinking about me..

A very strange thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago that makes me think there might be something going that we can't see. It was Sunday, a day off for me and I was sleeping in late. I had this dream where a woman I know asked me for a backrub. I woke up right away and a couple minutes later I got a text from her. She wanted to meet up with me but I was busy. A week later we met up and she told me her back hurt and the week before she wanted me to rub her back. This is weird because I have not rubber her back in well over a year.

Another time with a different female friend of mine I was waiting for her to email me about her location in New York because she wanted me to go see her since she was visiting there. I was getting sleepy when I got this strong feeling to check my email. I did and she had just sent me email with her details.

Another time back in college I had a dream that I met this girl I liked down in the lobby and she asked me to open a door to the computer room for her. Later that day, that exact thing happened.

These things don't always happen. It's kind of random but when they do I get this strong feeling that something might be going on.

If you have a sort of connection or if you interact with him a lot. There is a good chance that he is thinking about you too. Do remember that it usually only happens between those that already have a deep connection in some way. For example, married couple, serious dating couple, best friends, parents and children, etc.

Stay positive because when you least expect it im sure everything will work out. If he just a associative or a friend you want to get to know better try finding a time when you both can hang out alone without extra company, because three or more is a crowd. So there's no way of telling he likes you if he dodoesn't get a chance to tell you. Trust me I known from experience although im only 13 and a half don't let my age fool you. I still talk to friends about our past years together and crushes we had on each other for a while that we wished we had told sooner. That's just a heads up don't feel bad if he sees you as a friend either because sometimes feelings for others die out and we need to move on. I really hope things workout for you lol because I've been there myself thinking of times I could've changed.

Maybe it is true, maybe it is not. I don't think there is a 100% proof way to tell if it is real.  I use to think of my crush every single day, and I thought of him a lot for 6 years.  I finally called him (finally got the guts to call him) and told him I loved him and thought of him a lot.  I still do even though I'm married now.  He told me (my crush told me on the phone) that he liked me only as a friend, and that the reason why I like him is probably because our families were so close and we hung out so much as a youth group.  I told him that I needed to get over him, so he took off his Facebook and we never talked after that.  It helped me get closure to realize that me and him were never going to be, and I started talking to other guys after that.

i actually have heard that the human brain can link with others somehow, and that chances are that they're thinking of you as well. but I'm very skeptical about that as I'm sure most people are. however if the relationship you have with this particular person is already well established, and they've made a significant enough impact on you to be thinking about them so much, then obviously there is some chance that you've done the same for them :)

I'm in the same situation as we speak. I can't help but think about my ex. It's during the most random times that have no ties to him, yet he still crosses my mind. It's an overwhelming urge to have him in my life. I couldn't understand why. I moved on and it's been years. I feel terrible about it but it's pretty clear that it's out of my control. Anyway, he recently reached out to me and asked me if I still think about him. He says it's weird because he's constantly thinking about me. It all made sense. My heart sank and it's like the feelings all came back. I don't know if this means we just need some closure or if he's really just my soulmate. Hard to figure out without risking what you have :-/ ugh I know the anxiety that kicks in when you feel this way so hang in there
