Not sure if this girl likes me or not? How do I go about letting her know my name?

There’s a pretty girl that works in the grocery shop up the road from me and as I was in there shopping I noticed she was looking at me every now and then and she would even turn her head to see where I was, so I decided to catch her eye and keep eye contact with her and see if she was still looking for me. Then when I was at the till she gave me a big smile and I did the same.

The next time I was in there I decided to pluck up the courage and ask what her name was. I was super nervous at the time but when she looked at me I looked straight into her eyes and asked her to let her know I was curious and interested to find out what it was, but then my nerves kicked in again and after I asked my brain went dead and I forgot to give her my name. So now I’m not sure how to go about letting her know what my name is.

Next time, ask for her phone number, and then write your name and number on a piece of paper and give it to her.

I never remember girls name it’s not that I’m nervous I did it so many times you still get a little bit nervous but not like before but I never remember the name what I do is I get the phone number and I said what was your name again they don’t get upset it’s not like you’re married to her.

its no big deal.. say hi and introduce your self make sure you get her name then you can say hi next time and say her name , she will remember you

I did get her name, I just forgot to give her mine because I was nervous

Sounds like you could just say something along the lines of "Hey, not sure if I properly introduced myself last time. My name is ___________".

Also when I asked her, I was looking for signs to see how she reacted and although I couldn’t see any little subtle ones, I noticed that as soon as she heard me speak she leaned in close to hear what I was saying as well as keeping eye contact with me. Now obviously we gotta wear masks because of covid so I’m not sure if she leaned in because of the mask or because she showed interest

I wouldn't read too much into it, but the eye contact is good. People tend to look away if not interested or nervous. I say go for it!

Most times it’s good to just be direct, like saying hey I haven’t met you yet, or I think your pretty cute what’s your name, or just say hey yeah i totally forgot to give you my name, here I’m *** so and so and go on from there.

I went to see if she was working today to ask her but unfortunately I couldn’t see her, I checked a few times just in case I missed her but no luck. Hopefully I’ll catch her next time 😁
