A person does not have to be an Adonis, have a big mansion or a powerful car. If he/she does not have the assets I mentioned above, then this person is of no interest to me because he/she simply prioritizes the wrong things in life and that is rather a self-centered and selfish person in my eyes.

Ok, so let me put a scenario together similar to what you have in your details. If I were sitting at a coffee house, I'd want someone to approach me with a smile and something in mind to say that is polite and respectful.

Perhaps I'm reading a book or something. Maybe the guy makes a comment about that. Now, if I am busy studying or doing work, I want to be left alone. Also, take into consideration approaching a girl by herself is usually not a great idea.

Look for a small group that are talking and look like they are having fun. That is your best bet to not have a girl be creeped out by strangers approaching her.

Depends on your competition.

If you have good looking, fit, tall and talkative guys around then you are going to be single for a while.

Work on yourself and just ask directions or any info you can think of, like a fool, from both genders. Then you will up you level.

I mean, don't be an ass, be polite. And if they get offensive it's their own damn problem. They want men to approach them so they wouldn't have to do it themselves.

Start with with something casual and easy. You see a woman coming towards you with a nice hair or an interesting clothing etc. Tell her that, smile and keep walking.

Use sign language when far, her reading a book, mimic holding the book and throw a thumbs up if you like the book.

Don't expect nothing from it and just be real.

Later work your way to "harder" stuff.

The first few times is the worst, if you survive the angry mob a few times then it will become easier.
