There is a man (39-40 y. o) who started flirting with me for about 2 weeks every time he sees me or he would try to start a small conversation by making little work comments.
He also work for a company that’s a business partner of my employer.
He started complimenting my perfume several times. He also mentioned how a nice woman I am when I’m helping him to do a few things.
Every time he flirts or greets me, his eyes are locked with mine for several seconds and he smiles at the same time. He also winks at me when he sees me. He’s very sweet and acts always as a gentleman. And whenever he can , he has small conversations with me.
But a few things happened that made me question the guy …
First… I feel like he’s very confident and relaxed when he flirts or talks to me while I’m so freaking nervous !
Also, today, I decided to initiate a conversation with him ( for the first time !!) . And I decided to tell him that I felt bad that I left suddenly while he was talking to me ( short story : a few days ago, he was complimenting me and I was so flustered that I just thanked him and stormed off ). He said : « how come you feel sorry? No, don’t worry about it ! it’s all fine ! » and he tap my arm ( that was the first time he touched me) .
But that’s it… we laughed about it and conversation was done. I was expecting him to continue the conversation ( maybe asking a personal question since we’re practically strangers ) … but nothing after that.
today, I said hi to him and his ‘’ hi ‘’ seemed very dry. I saw him again after … and he made a small comment like ‘’ hey you’re going to take some coffee?’’ And I said yeah haha.
but afterwards, I saw him again while I was working with my colleagues. I said Hi quickly and he didn’t respond. And when he came back, he just ignored me again.
So… I’m just confused … did I do something wrong? I’m not sure if he was always interested or all this was a game or maybe he was just very nice?
