The guy I like just stared and smiled at me?

I'm 24 in college and there's this guy that I've liked since last semester. We has class together last semester and I still see him around campus this semester and we run into each other almost every Thursday. Today when I got to campus I saw him walking in at the same time I was walking in and I notice he always stops at the vending machine to get a water. I saw him go in that direction today so I walked into the building and sat down on a bench. A few minutes later I notice him walk into the building from the doors that are right in front of where I was sitting (there's another vending machine outside of those doors but he never walks in through those doors, he did see me walk out of those doors a couple weeks ago) and I look up and say "Hey good morning how are you" and he said "I'm good" and I'm assuming he's going to walk past me to get to his class but he stopped in front of me and just stared and smiled at me for a few seconds. We both didn't say anything; we were just staring and smiling at each other. It was kind of an awkward silence but at the same time it felt like we both didn't want to look away. A few seconds later he says "I have class" and all I said was "oh yeah" and he walked away. My head is telling me he likes me and I felt a connection in that moment like we were both nervous and too shy to say anything and all we could do was stare and smile at each other. He didn't seem uncomfortable at all, it felt like we were enjoying the moment. My friend told me she thinks he was expecting me to say something or start a conversation. Oh and a couple weeks ago we had seen each other walking into campus and instead of walking into the main entrance which would've meant he would've got to the entrance first and wouldn't be able to say hi to me he went out of his way to go into the back entrance which meant he passed by me, turned all the way to his right and said hi to me. I've never seen him go into the building that way. What does this all mean?

What’s wrong will walking straight at him in that moment and see if he sets his pants. He shoukd be approaching you…if for no other reason than to be polite. Ogling like some orangutan 🦧.

He is attracted to you but he probably lacks the confidence necessary to ask you out or talk at length with you. He's probably shy and nervous.

I would say it’s because he is interested and finds you attractive.

GREAT!!! Ask him out. I think he PROBABLY likes you. But you won’t know for sure unless you ask him out.

You better claim him and take him off the market fast before someone else does.
