When a guy asks a girl to go on holiday?

When a guy asks me to go on holiday with them I tend to think that's an indication that it is a step forward in the relationship and I do consider my decision as to whether or not to go quite seriously.

I know that sometimes this may not be the case for guys, they could be just looking for a sexy weekend or something like that. But, guys, just a general survey, if you asks a girl to go on holiday with you, expenses paid by you, what is your usual intention?

Thanks guys for your input, the reason I ask is because I have dated 3 guys this year. Each of them have offered to take me on holiday. Of course the context of each relationship was different. I wouldn't say it was just a sexy weekend. I mean with each guy we actually saw each other regularly, told our parents about each other etc.. But of course, the guys tend to ask after the 1-2 months mark. They couldn't have possibly cared about me that deeply. So perhaps a holiday means jack to a guy.

It really depends on the guy. For me, it would be an indication that I'm serious about you and want to spend long lengths of time with you. What happens during those long lengths of time doesn't really matter so long as I'm with you. Granted, sex is to be expected on such a holiday but something tells me you wouldn't be expecting any different regardless. What you are wondering about are the intentions. Best advice, ask him. Ask him if he is just looking for a sexy weekend or for a meaningful one.

Imao it's a form of prostitution and if you think a guy is somehow being 'serious', you're almost always kidding yourself. He's just bringing you for an orgiastic weekend and nothing more...if he's the one paying for everything.

Not necessarily true, what are you basing this on exactly? The guy I was seeing casually treated me to an amazing vacation, and while we were away asked me whether I was ready to have a serious relationship with him. Two months after we got back, he asked me to move in with him. Kelles, the best thing to do is to ask him what his intentions are with you.

Haha, oh dear. Listen I am opened to all sorts of answers. The reason I ask is because I view going on a holiday with a guy as a "next step forward" type of situation, at the very minimum, I would only go if I am in a couple situation with someone. I am not quite interested in just a sexy weekend. However, having said that, I have dated 3 guys this year. The first one offered to take me around the world for my birthday, which I rejected and subsequently dumped him. He is still around as a friend

The second one I had a whirlwind relationship and romance with and on my birthday (after dating for about 1.5 months) he gave me a card saying that he will take me on holiday as a birthday gift. The next day he had to fly off to NYC for work, but when he returned he did buy me other gifts for my birthday. So it did seem like a sincere situation. Or was that just bait to make sure that I don't start seeing other guys whilst he was gone? Unfortunately that relationship went sour and later when I asked him,

he started planning a holiday with the last girl, whom he dated for 2 months, and they never got to go and they broke up. Obviously that made me feel super special. Long story short we broke up.

Mr. C, suggested a holiday the second week we met, obviously I didn't take it too seriously and said no. Now, he is suggesting a holiday again (1 month into us meeting) with another couple (his friends).

I am just a bit bemused that guys seem to be handing out holidays like it doesn't mean much.

To go out with someone, and have some fun. If she chips in on some things, cool, if not then I don't care. I like to have fun, and I hope someone likes to have it with me. Sex usually isn't on my mind if I do this, and if she wants it, then okay, if not who cares?
