Sometimes after I was away for a day I ask my husband that jokingly, to act cute, or if I was away longer I might ask more seriously. Sadly, he never misses me either way. I do tell him "I miss you" but, given that I know the answer, I will eventually stop asking whether he does miss me or not.
When Boyfriend ask me that question I stay silence. How do you expect someone to miss you if you BARELY call or text? I got tired saying those words and started to " f**k it" and move on.
My girlfriend asks me when we are apart for the time it takes her to go to the bathroom or when we chose opposite directions to go around a porta-potty (it was in the middle of the sidewalk for some reason). So neither of us missed each other because the time we weren't face to face was less than 30 minutes. Technically I don't miss her after I am at work, which is 8 hours. That could be because my work is two staircases up from where we sleep, so it's not really that far from her.
Usually yes. If the other person initiated with “Did you miss me” is that they missed you. Because they’re mentioning it, not you. If anything, they want you to miss them.
Yes, there's no other reason than this. It usually a facade to spice my chat with someone I hadn't talked to in a while but even if it isn't, it role is to lightly and playfully express I missed the person I said this to
Well, your somewhat right but it could also be a security question. The person could ask that to find out how he/she feels about you. In todays technology we are constantly connected so were never really missing anything.
Yeah, to see if they missed me. Sometimes it's a funny question. Try to imagine it being asked in a playful tone. But in sure that sometimes, if someone really cares if you missed them, they probably missed you too
In some cases... It could be the sweetest thing in the world.. An admission of insecurity and incredulous " wow he/she missed me I must be important " moment of epiphany..
It could also be a test to see if you care.
It could be designed to start a fight... Or a trap.
It doesn't necessarily mean they missed you. It could mean they wanna know if u missed them. Possibly in a superior type of way. It gives them a self esteem boost if that makes sense
It depends, sometimes it is said in a playful tone and they might not mean anything with it... Most likely it shows they would want you to miss them, which usually means they missed you. Yes. 😌
Kind of. "Did you miss me?" sounds more clingy to me than "I missed you", since the first one is basically a cry for attention. It doesn't sound sweet, it sounds worrying.
I think there is a good possibility that she did miss you if she asked that. But I think she just wants to know if you missed her (thought about her/care about her/wanted to be with her).

eh...maybe. I work with a woman who's like twice my age and I asked her that question after I was gone for 4 days. In that case I just asked it for the heck of it. If I asked that question to a girl my age then yeah probably. Then of course I'll throw in a cocky remark that states I bet you didn't know what to do without me:)
You're a guy so a girl sent you this. I do this. She kinda likes you but isn't 100% sold yet. She is hoping wants you are going to step up and really court her.

I know that's right

If you missed him, then you’d just say it.

Asking simple gesture as sort is for me nothing an extraordinary.
They ask because they wanted to find out.
And its way too easy to ask it,
Its like a very casual "Hey did you miss me, after all?"

YES it does mean we miss you or it means they may want to know if you miss them
Yes. Whenever I say this to someone I actually mean I miss you, and hope they say it back.

All depends on context and tone of voice.
She wants to know if you care for her as mmuch as she cares for you.

"Did you miss me?" does NOT mean "I missed you." It means the person asking wants to know if YOU like THEM.
When someone misses you, they tell you that.

No. "Did you miss me" is basically attention seeking. "I missed you" is an expression of fondness and longing.
