Why does this guy act like I'm invisible?

This guy in my lab group at school acts like I'm not there. If someone from my lab group and I are studying a diagram and he wants it, he will ask her if she's done. Not me. If he asks the other two girls in my group a question he will completely leave me out. He is very outgoing and not at all shy so I wouldn't think it was intimidation. I'm just confused...what would be the reason for him to ignore me?

He might not like you in one way or another. Could be just personally, or maybe his friend(s) told him about something bad you did which caused him to not like you. I don't know.

Or he's just afraid of talking to you. Try starting a conversation related to school project stuff and see how he responds.

That's weird. I'm not sure why he is behaving like that. Try starting a conversation with him (if he is alone) before your class start each day. Hopefully that will allow him to break from whatever "shield" he has up. Also, the next time he asks someone in the group for something, I would make a joke.
