What is with the American Midwest's idiotic coffee culture?

I am a New Zealand American, and I lived in suburban Ohio. Wtf is with the coffee culture?

Everyone drinks cookies and cream milkshake with coffee on the bottom. Or blueberry, banana, vanilla, coffee.

Wtf? So childish and stupid.

I had to ho to special underground 'hipster' cafes to get regular New Zealand coffee.

I don’t know the Midwest is weird for me but I also don’t like hipster stuff either I don’t fit in with a lot of American culture lol. I remember in Ohio I had spaghetti with chili that was not bad but the rest of people are so fat and eat and drink a lot it doesn’t look that great in the Midwest sorry people. I don’t like the northwest either although that is where I was born.

Like their weak piss-water beer, Americans' idea on coffee is junk. Don't know why they're proud of either as compared to what you get in Europe or with coffee from Central & South American countries it's all just shit. As one friend said for coffee Tim Hortons (so popular) is like drinking water.

And I get what you mean needing to find little secretive areas. Though British I am used to coffee from European countries (Italy, Greece) or Mid-Eastern (Turkey). To me American brew - like something I had from Starbucks that nearly made me sick it was just disgusting - isn't stuff to feed a dog.

Uh there are Starbucks all Europe I should know I visited. You sound arrogant and haughty that's why I hate British people and I'm not even a white American I am a minority. British food and coffee is also crap, not saying that American stuff is good either but British stuff is really just as bad if not worse. I ate at a restaurant in London and the dish cost me a fortune for what was basically a bland salad. American culture is overrated I agree but so is British culture alongside it.

I don't know how coffee is in New Zealand, but I lived in the Midwest for a long time before moving to the Pacific Northwest. I was surprised to find out how strong and bitter the coffee is, comparatively.

Was raised in the Midwest, but I drink coffee from beans from all over the world. My favorites are Jamaican Blue Mountain and Kenya AA.
