Best food to cook for your boyfriend?

I don’t cook a lot, but when I do it’s good. I want to serve up something special for my boyfriend, but have no idea where to start.

Guys-what food do you enjoy that your girlfriend serves up? Do you have any favourite dishes that are safe moves? Do you regard any dishes as more romantic than others?

Girls- what do you prefer to cook that is easy and inexpensive?

If he has a sweet tooth, make a panna cotta served in a champagne/wine glass topped with some kind of dark syrup and fresh fruits for a dessert. It looks so extravagant but even a mentally handicapped person can make it.

For the main course, well, I think as a girl you can just make something really basic like mashed potatoes and pork chops with some steamed veggies. As a guy, I wanted to go all extravagant with French and Italian cuisine. Girls are way harder to impress than guys.
