The whole of British Isles has shit cuisine.
If your best national dish is fried fish and fries, you know it's bad.
That whole obsession with stuffing organ and ground meat in things is quite pathological and, in my opinion, doesn't lead any place that I could describe as enjoyable.
I mean, if we are talking liver and onions, I'm already starting to feel suicidal.

All that I can say is that here in America, where we stole every decent food from around the world, when Americans discuss dinner options, the usual choices are Italian, Mexican, or Chinese.
I can't recall anyone ever saying, "Let's go to a Brit restaurant for steak and kidney pudding."
French food. Runny scrambled eggs. 🤢 My husband and I stayed at a French resort once and didn't like any of the food. I can't recall everything, but the eggs and their version of ice cream were repulsive. Of course, having people smoke cigarettes and cigars around me while eating probably made matters worse.
Contrary to popular belief British food isn't terrible. The problem is a lot of restaurants get run by people with no proper training in cooking who insist on using the cheapest possible ingredients and overcharging the customer.
The UK has good food, just shit cooks.

For me Fiji and they are Soo great that I feel bad saying that.
Cuba... brutal. but that's not the fault or the people. Cubans are beautiful people. great coffee and delicious rum. just the food sucks.
