Should I have lunch or wait?

So I know that sounds bad - but generally I eat too much rather than too little and don’t have an eating disorder. I had a protein shake for breakfast, it’s currently 11:15am and I’m going out for a meal and drinks tonight around 7. I was hoping to wear a black dress which is quite tight so was going to skip lunch (I get extremely bloated - I think I have IBS but it’s not confirmed). But now I am so hungry. I want to look nice tonight and not be in pain from bloating, but I’m hungry so I want to eat something, what should I do?

Also - I don’t know what triggers the bloating it seems to be literally anything, so I can’t have lunch and avoid certain foods and know I won’t bloat, and I do have medication but it doesn’t really help
