Should I call or just wait?

My boyfriend passed me by with his car while driving without noticing me. I called him immediately and asked him why.

He said he was nervous and tired and wanted to go out eating alone, but If I want to join, I'm welcome.

Anyway I felt that he doesn't really want mw there, but I went.

He was indeed not in a mood for anything, but we had a good laugh and we parted ways as he went to work again.

Usually he calls me to come visit him at the end of the workday, but this time he didn't. He didn't text me nor called last night at all. I only texted him at 4PM while he was still at work asking "are you feeling better?". He said " a bit" and that was it. Didn't initiate more of the conversation.

I don't know what's going on and I'm super anxious already. I would like to know what's going on. He is currently at work. Should I wait till the lunch break or after the shift?

Wait until he has finished off work and allow him a few hours after to contact you. If he hasn't an hour or so before bedtime, then call him and talk to him. Don't do it over text nor send a text asking if he is up for a call. Just simply call him and have an open and transparent conversation with him. If he tells you everything is alright, well, tell him about your anxious feeling and listen to what he has to say.
