Creamy or chunky?

I'm referring to peanut butter, of course.

I kind of prefer creamy.

I don't eat it all that often, but one of my favorite things is a bacon and peanut butter sandwich on toast.

I try to eat healthy food and go with organic when possible. But I hate organic peanut butter! The oil separates and floats to the top. You have to stir it in and wind up making a mess. And the texture isn't great.

So I usually buy Skippy or Jiffy.

What about you? Do you like peanut butter? What's your favorite brand?

I prefer creamy. I know what you mean about the mess of stirring peanut butter. Then it's so thick at the bottom that I end up adding a tad bit more peanut oil so it's malleable. I gave up and now I buy Skippy Natural "no stir". It's a compromise.

Creamy. Skippy, peter pan, and jif is what brands I buy. And I LOVE peanut butter, not just like. But crunchy can be good for just snacking.

I like lots of things with peanut butter. Bread, fruit, pretzels, graham crackers, crackers, celery, etc. My favorite is strawberry jam and blackberry jam, but I bought some grape jelly when I was at the store last time since I was in the mood for it. I think I might put some peanut butter on my s'more tomorrow when we make them or try a mini reeses.

I've found another peanut butter aficionado in the world!

As a kid, my buddies and I would conduct extremely heated debates on the merits and failings of different peanut butters.
I was always in the minority with my support of Peter Pan.
Such is life.
At the time, I was debating with a small group of young gentlemen and a few young ladies, not representative of the world at large.
As a side note, the girls were always very much less spirited in their opinions than the boys were.
I always thought that a larger poll group would clearly show that Peter Pan is more popular.
My stance has never wavered on the subject, and never will.
We always came away from our debates as buddies still.

More modern polling statistics seem to bear out my friends' views (preposterous, to my way of thinking 🤔), that Jif and Skippy are the more popular peanut butters.
That means, happily, that there's more Peter Pan for me to consume.
To each his own.

If you and were to meet in person, I'd love to entertain the subject at length.
Due to the depth of my passion regarding the subject, and also the extreme slowness of my typing skills, I must not engage in online debate regarding peanut butter.
I might pop a blood vessel in doing so!

I wonder what it is about peanut butter that elicits such passion in people.

LOL Wow, you ARE passionate about peanut butter. Honestly, I'm not. As I said, though, one of my favorite things is to make a sandwich with bacon and peanut on toast.

If I'm hungry but too lazy to make anything else, I will sometimes make toast and put Kerry Gold butter and peanut butter on it. I like it when the peanut butter gets melty.

I prefer smartbalance, less filling and tastes great! some chemicals in it, but I don't eat it so much anymore... I prefer peanuts in the shell or Spanish peanuts.
