What are your thoughts on hooters?

By hooters I mean the food place

Around UK I've only seen and went to the hooters in Nottingham, pretty much liked the food, hot wings and a salad, my friend got a burger and some fries, food was 8/10.

A friend of mine works at hooters in liverpool, and the pay sure is great, around 27 pounds an hour and only have to work 4-5 hours shift. That sounds like a complete steal compared to what I used to work for at Starbucks.

And yes the girls were really pretty

Hooters is of course one of many restaurant experiments that started in the USA and has spread around the world. It is an American company. "Hooters" also, of course, is a slang term for breasts and it might have been predictable that it would be at the center of a lot of controversy for that fact alone. And so it was for the many decades it has been around. But controversy doesn't always mean failure and often the publicity of the controversy is enough to propel success. I think that's the case here.

I have only been to Hooters once (here in America). My assessment was that the food was mediocre (I'll go with 4 or 5 out of 10), but people don't really go there for the food they go for the atmosphere. And I found the atmosphere was crass but that wasn't unexpected since I knew that the table service was provided by scantily clad young women by design. It's not that I didn't enjoy the scenery, but I couldn't help thinking that while it had pretty close to the same level of crassness as a strip club you didn't get to see nearly as much skin as you would in the strip club so it seemed like less bang for the buck (so to speak) when I left the tip.

Not sure I enjoy mixing sexual inuendo with my dining experience (publicly anyway) and so I never went back.

Food isn't that good but it's consistently acceptable at least. I rarely went but there was one city I traveled to for work that the restaurant in the hotel parking lot was a hooters and it was convenient, and the town really had a lack of good restaurant options. Honestly the "uniforms" weren't all that alluring to me. It all seemed so fake.

I went to a Hooters once when I was like 19 and never went back to one. Sure, there's pretty girls, but the food sucks. I can't speak for what it's like now, but nothing about it then made me want to go back. As far as I know, it's still not known for good food though. It just seems like every other chain restaurant... except for the girls.

I have been to a couple in the area. One is dead and the other is a bit understaffed. The food was good and the service was decent. Though you got to be careful at those places. Some of the patrons don't have any manners. But then management had no problem kicking out and banning those that were too unruly.

I found the girls in Nottingham hooters to be ok lol. The shorts are nice for sure. The chicken wings were amazing, but with table service charges, also very expensive in my opinion. The whole experience was good though. Hard not to stare when with the wife there lol 🤣

I have never been to one. There is one about 50 miles from my house. I drive by it a few times in the summer and the parking lot is always mostly empty. I do not know how they stay in business.

A bit gimmicky but food is nice, I’ve been to the Liverpool one a few times. If you blanked out the hooters bit it could be any American style food place.
