In the United States, do you know this cake, which is a specialty of my region?

It's called a cannelé, and it's a small cake from Bordeaux, shaped like a fluted cylinder, with a soft, tender pastry, flavored with rum and vanilla, and baked in a mold originally made of copper, which gives it a fine caramelized crust.

I eat way too much of this cake 😭😂

Sure. We frequent Laduree often and have ordered the cakes and coffee.
It’s very hard to find good French bakeries … but we are fortunate that we we have two other French bakeries in town.
when we went to Paris last summer, I wanted to go to Laduree, but it was closed for renovations to prepare for the Olympics.
by the way, my sister just found Les Grands Buffets in Narbonne. We hope to go 2025.
