      Good point.

I'm always baffled by men and women when they generalize. It is apparent they like dealing with the women and men they distain. You are what you entertain. They see themselves as value but deal with "what they proceed" as trash so call trying to put value to. I honestly get confused with men and women that think like this. A high value man or woman will not even bother with individuals like this. The can spot BS miles away. And, if you can see the manipulation or seduction of a woman, why would you be with her? "Sex" nothing more. Nothing less. Yet, she's at fault for your shallow thinking and lack of control of your sexual desires. Go figure.

@YourGirlGigi Well said. People like him simply aren't intelligent, as harsh as it sounds. But it's true. Because an intelligent person is reflective enough to understand that their personal experiences are 1) not a 1:1 projection of how things are in general, and 2) subject to very heavy bias that we all have. As you said, we are what we entertain. If he was intelligent and reflective, he's see this. He'd understand the difference between the women he associates himself with, because of what he attracts, and womankind in general.

In another post he claimed he's not a misogynist because he loves women. As if that made him less of a misogynist. "I'm not racist, I love black people!" Same nonsense. You can still be racist if you continuously generalize people based on racial stereotypes or your personal experiences with them. Stereotypical thinking, whether it's about a gender or a race, is for simpletons. The argument that stereotypes are based in truth is also just a bullshit cop-out.

Oh, and how long will it take before some guy here accuses me of being a "white knight"? Haven't heard that in a while.

A large part of women are unable to distinguish the subject from the object. This happens not because they are women, but because they are extremely self-centered people. If you try to have a discussion with an egocentric male you will have the same result.

The basic problem is that society rewards women who behave in an egocentric way. And for the most part this is endogenous.

I think it's just the over generalization is the issue here tbh.

Personally I've met some pretty honest and logical women and they often say similar things. These conversations are taken intimately not so much as philosophically so to speak.

Also context and tone is also very important when having a conversation. I actually got into some trouble at work just for saying good work to a female colleague (I'm the senior and trainer for the unit) because apparently due to tone. I've seen made adjustments but yeah it happens 🤷‍♂️

Women aren't the ones who are creating an entire movement that purports to "Go Their Own Way" and constantly harp on and on about how they are avoiding the other sex - but yet, every person in this movement still strangely, can never seem to stop talking, whining, and moaning about the other sex. For a movement that's all about avoiding the other sex, they sure do spend a lot of time talking about members belonging to that other sex :) Most famous example of someone who takes everything personally and writes supposedly scathing but unintentionally humorous comments on their Twitter? Donald Trump. Last time I checked, Mr. Trump was a man.

Blanket statements- no matter what gender- is usually taken personally. Because its labeling someone who may be very much different than the general.

I speak out about general male tendencies and it also offends them. Because people are different and their gender may not dictate their personality as much as people assume.

Usually "deabtes" about gender tendencies are more of the negative aspect of their nature.

I'm a girl and I honestly do agree to an extent. I generally try to keep my emotions out of debate if it doesn't require it. I like to lay out the facts and then form my opinion. Tons of men don't use the emotional side of debate though. There honestly HAS to be a balance otherwise both sides aren't very good at arguing. For things like abortion, I'll include my own personal opinion. On the other hand, when I'm trying to make an analytical argument I'll try to keep my personal opinions out of the argument too much. It really does depend on the topic and the people around you.

Umm... men do literally all of the things you mentioned. Ever heard of the hashtag #NotAllMen? It was made by men because 1. similarly to women, men take things personally (I am not like that!), and 2. similarly to women, men say "not all men are like that!"

#3 (being a loser who can't get laid) is a common stereotype about feminists, that they're bitter because they can't get boyfriends, so yes, men do make these accusations also.

#5, men refer to women as "misandrists."

and i agree with you to a certain degree.. And i know you may find it hard to believe but it is mostly men who partake more so in these debates. I love debating. But it always mostly with males. Always with males.

Like this site is mostly well males.

I know when i want to talk about politics. it not fun getting ganged up on 20 males on these site. It never fails

Nah im no the type to fight back. too much energy. But i i know a lot of women who do have strong views , they can come off as if it personal. I seen it myself but the few of us who can carry a debate well and with out it being personally well we get drown out by both parties.

I think the issue here is, these incel guys on this site spend all day at the computer watching "feminism pwned" videos because they are angry that women won't talk to them (yep, number 3), then go into little chats and jerk each other off about how dumb women are and how we can't debate pointless topics online with some loser who thinks he is a philosopher because he watches YouTube all day 😂 what would I know though, i am just a triggered emotional female 🤷‍♀️

But even when they existed, guys always infiltrated it and start indulging in sexual conversations to get off and fetishes not for the conversational aspect but because they wanted to jerk off to women talking about sex and also demeaning the women involved, it's frustrating really.

Life has a way of bringing them back down. They get excited by the male attention and confuse men wanting sex with men desiring THEM. They make bad choices, squirt a few kids and no one is interested. Same with the F-boys who age and find that they now lack the ultimate aphrodisiac for women-$$$

    Anecdote does not equal evidence.
the women you have come across, probably observe the bullshit you put out as personal attacks, or gender based attacks rather than philosophy.
If that is the case, I'd be more inclined to look at your end of things as the problem.

To counter your anecdote, for shits and giggles, sure I have come across a couple of women who take debates personally, but by far the larger proportions eagerly engage in philosophical debate.

A large number of males I have spoken too however are incapable of stepping out of their narrow identity politics to discuss things philosophically.

Anecdote countered. So now you are back to square 1 without meaningless anecdote to rely on.

Middle and upper-middle class women (soccer mom's) in America...
*Do not think seriously. (Logically and fact-based)
*Have not been taught to think seriously at home or in primary and secondary schools.
*Do not want to think seriously.
*As a consequence, do not teach their children to think seriously.
    And that's who AntiFA are.

Deranged Feminist Women: How long would you would survive in the Philippines or Malaysia (both have English speakers)? Women in the third world have had no choice but to think seriously because their cultures do not shield them from the consequences of unserious thinking.

I think everything is somehow absorbed personally. It takes a pretty dramatic life experience to become self-aware. and understand that their ego is the driving force controlling your life. It takes even more to be mindful of that. Abstract ideas that seem logical are always based- consciously or not-on the emotions that mold those ideas. The very small & newest developed part of the brain is the neo-cortex- the part that processes information logically. Much older and larger is the limbic area of the brain that responds to fear, lust, hunger, safety and sex. The neo-cortex fashions these urges into what we call logical/sensible ideas.

That doesn't mean the idea is wrong, it's just that is sprung from a deeper older well.

I don't. I'm a criminal defense attorney, I can't afford to personalize debate and I don't. Interestingly, I notice guys and girls both on GAG resorting to ad hominems and name-calling in a discussion. Civil discourse online seems to have gone out the window, gender immaterial. There sure is a lot of e-courage out there.

It reminds me of the internet meme of a guy behind a table with a sign that makes a provocative statement, with the words "change my mind" underneath. The wise one ignores such provocation, knowing nothing can really change another's mind on matters of opinion, no matter what one puts forward to support an opposing opinion.

This is another reason why women are far more likely to be in subservient roles. They aren't as capable as men to make big decisions. Ceos, investments and time value of money, head of household... they just fail at these things (not all not all not all). I have to say that for the women. Smh.

But the high quality women know and accept their weaknesses and allow men to help them in those ways. Just like men have our own weaknesses and high quality men accept that and find women to fill in the gap too.

From me? I'm just telling it like it is. Now when you make misandric blanket statements as you did that is bad vibes.

I mean some do but there's men who are just like that too. It's nothing to do with gender it has to do with someones maturity level and the women you debated were very immature. I advise you to surround yourself with more intelligent and mature people and you won't find yourself in that situation.

I guess the dude who called me a mega bitch for rejecting him with a straight up 'no' (while I had a boyfriend) was a woman after all. Because it's only women who would do something that petty, am I right or am I right?

Inb4 all the 'you just took it personally' comments: not all men, right? Lmfao. Pathetic.

I hate it when guys act that way after a girl (politely) rejects him. It’s a different story if she’s rude though.

Attraction isn’t a choice. Just deal with it.

Straight up no isn't rude though. I'd understand if I called him names or told him to get lost, I did none of that.

Yes. You're 100% correct. Us men will suck up the rejection every time. How does the woman handle it? "Your such a sexist jerk" or, "you're such an asshole!" Or something similar.. .

I literally just told you I didn't do that. I just said no. Neither did I act sweet nor did I act mean, it was a very neutral response.

I know you didn’t do that. You did what you are supposed to.

Just don’t take this incident to heart and ghost or unannounce friendzone the next guy who approaches you who aren’t interested. For every dbag who can’t handle rejection well there are 10 guys who can but are bitter from rude rejection. We are not all the same. I hate guys like that.

@ronaldo75 that’s just cold reality. But we live in a society that rewards crybabies as long as you fall into a certain category.

Best thing you can do is vote with your feet. Never financially support that crap

I’ve had women go ballistic from rejection. Funny how they are all PC but if a guy rejects them a common insult is “oh he must be gay”. Smdh
