Why is my ex girlfriend drinking so much all of a sudden? Is she doing it out of regretting breaking up?

We broke up a little less than a month ago and we dated for 8 months, when i bring it up she seems like she hates me? Is this her way of trying to move on? I want her back and am wanting to spend time together but she is always sleeping during the day cuz she stays up late and drinks :/ i care about her and want her to notice thats not a good thing that she has resorted to drinking! I miss her like crazy and if she is feeling the same way why doesn't she just tell me?

i don't think her drinking means that she regrets the break-up. i think it may be a way of her to try and forget and move forward.

maybe she's just trying to live it up and have fun and thinks partying is the way to it.

i definitely wouldn't assume it means she regrets the breakup

She mos likely started drinking to get over you, or want attention. If she drinks because of you it's her trying to tell you that you really hurt her and she still loves you. She wants you to show her you still love her if you do. It's honestly for attention, I think

I didn't hurt her at least i think? But ill ask her if i ever hurt her! Cuz she told me i was too dependent and i just always wanted her around and she said i needed more friends but i just wanted to be with her

That's really tough. Maybe she saw you as clingy but honestly a guy can't be too clingy because that just mean you really love her, but I know that I got drunk once because I wanted that guy to see me as being "wild" but honestly it's because I missed him and I was really hurt

You can talk to her! Tell her you miss her, and that you'd rather be there to comfort her instead of her drinking. When girls get drunk or drink out of hurt or anger it doesn't solve anything, it makes them happy for one night, then they feel terrible all over again. You could try to "fight for her" if she can't handle the sadness then try and show here your

You can show her, but just like I said "fight for her" show her you mean more to her than alcohol! Tell her there's more benefits with you then drinking! Tell her it's not the right thing, make her realize that it's not helping. Sound like your there for her! I'm trying to go off of what I went thought with me and my boyfriend, I got really depressed with him so I started drinking, he hated it and he just told me he loved me too much to see my drink and he like made me stop.. Just by showing her you love her; remind her everyday that u love her, tell her u want her back! Do the cutest things that she likes.

Any way to tell a girl you love her without sounding clingy, is just straight up saying, and being comfortable around her. Even though your not dating and if she doesn't have a boyfriend just be like "babe, your beautiful and I've realized that I miss you! You miss me too don't make me feel like an idiot for telling you I'm in love with you, tell her you wanna reconnect with the feelings you had for her."

Thanks for the advice and i truly will put it to good use! I will succeed i can honestly picture my future with this girl! She makes me so happy i get warm and fuzzy sometimes! I want to be her therapy it helped her before 8 months ago before we started dating she did pot and drank and a week after we started dating she ignored all of her pot friends and drinkers and became friends with my friends which are the gaming losers tbh lol but i feel i need to tell her ill be here for her always! I want her to think of me as her potential husband and in general her man! I want to be able to text her in the morning long paragraphs how much i love her and how amazing she truly is for getting past all the crap she has been through she really needs to know she is really doing her best and im glad to be a part of it! But i dont want to just be friends, i want to be her boyfriend! Honestly i can already picture how im gonna ask her to marry me!

The fact that she fell back into her old habits when you broke up shows that she very much was dependent on you for her own happiness, and that she did change only temporarily for you. Had she done it for herself, she wouldn't have started drinking again.

Wanting her to get help is not "judging" her, even if she hates you for it you're merely telling her that you want her to be happy again. Highlight the fact that there's nothing wrong with getting professional help. This girl could be a serious danger to herself and merely telling her that you and her family "care about her a lot" won't do much of a difference. I've suffered from depression myself. A few months ago, I actually contemplated jumping out of my window. Even though I've had tremendous support from my family and friends (they're not entirely aware of what exactly I'm going through but they've never turned their backs on me) it STILL didn't stop me from wanting to kill myself. Luckily I've slowly started getting better on my own, but your ex might not. It's rare to randomly start getting better. Especially if she's an alcoholic. You need to put her safety above your friendship. Tell her family about the seriousness of the situation.
