Do most women today view men as ATM machines?

Question

Came across a comment which stated that most women today are hoes looking for someone to pay their bills and fix their problems.

 

Now I'm sure the feminist are going to come in here and say well women don't need men money because they got their own money and can support themselves. While this is true, studies show women still date up when it comes to wealth and who doesn't like having a helping hand alleviate you of a lot of your funds even if they make less than you.

So do you think the majority of women today don't see men as human beings but rather ATM machines/apps to use when they have a problem?

Ok... the reason it looks like women still date up I would say is because;
1. success is attractive. And by success I dont mean wealth. I mean achieving excellence in a given field. Having a skill. Having passion for something. Much like we might like someone for having the tastes in hobbies that we do. Their career can an also be attractive. For example I would prefer to date a unsigned/broke musician than doctor.
2.) Money problems is often considered one of the most common reasons for divorce. So its no surprise that someone with money have better chance of making a relationship work.

I would say in this advancing age women are less likely to see men as ATM machines more than any other time that can before. In fact it use to be socially acceptable for women to make such decisions based on the mans money and status as sickening as it is.

I'm not gonna lie. Some of them do, but honestly you can spot those kind of women from a mile away.
I never made my boyfriend pay for anything for me. We always payed our own food, activities etc. It's funny because we just had a little discussion about money because I'm a little tight right now and I tried on a bikini a little while ago and he was persistent to buy it for me and right now I still feel a little guilty that he spend that money he could've spend on something more valuable.
So right now I don't use my boyfriend as an ATM machine at all. Maybe money will matter more when I get older, although I will probably make quite some money myself later.

You'd date up in wealth so you know that you're not the only one contributing to the household. You wanna know that what you can give, he can give as well. It really also alleviates some stress in a relationship.
I know for a fact that there are multitudes of relationships where the females makes more than the male. The thing is, there's nothing wrong with this so you don't hear about it as much. But people talk about golddiggers like its a PSA or something. You hear about it more so you'd think that is majority female when its not. Its a cautionary tale.

Money gets girls. And it's not just conscious gold diggers. Money has another power: it makes you more fun. Yep. Women love fun and money gets you places. Travel, clubs, events, etc money gets you that. Money also amplifies your talents. If you take two musicians for example, the bum with a guitar isn't going to be as successful as the guy who can buy all the gear, fund his touring and get great social marketing. The latter will always be more attractive to girls than the former. I've also found it makes getting sex easier. many times, sex is logistics. Come back to my place? You need a place for that to happen. Take a taxi? You need some cash for that. Those little things add up and make you exciting. Exciting is a core pillar in attraction.

Whether they do or they don't, that doesn't change the fact that come end of the day, whether you decide to give them your money or not is entirely dependent on how much of a moron you are.

That's really outdated thinking. I am pretty sure that my boyfriend sees *me* as an ATM because I pay for our dates most of the time. Plus, you know, I have more money than he does because I used to work at a fucking mine in the Arctic.

I suppose y'all don't think men have anything to offer women apart from their money, and that's why you believe women see you as a wallet and nothing more. I guess no one has ever heard of companionship or sex. Weird. I would think that those concepts would be more universally known than they appear to be.

However, though I'm sure that's the case for some girls, wouldn't it be completely stupid to date down in respect to wealth? You say that you feel like the majority of women date up as if it's a bad thing..

Honestly, I see men as more of a protector and we can equally provide for each other.

I think some men take on the role of a provider in the household and of course woman want that. However, a woman with quality is going to see past what he can provide her, but how he treats her.

So it's not that we see men as money bags, but since they take on the role sometimes many woman can get the idea misconceived.

The ones going out clubbing all the time or that are desperate for a relationship normally do. Since they are putting themselves in the dating market more often, we end up running into them more often than the women that don't see men as ATM machines. While they don't make up the majority of women, they are always in our way when we try to meet a decent woman.

I think a much larger group of women find men unattractive when they're broke, and take the guy behaving like an ATM for granted if he's 'serious' and 'committed to her' and 'has ambition' (which seems to involve earning and spending ambition, not ambition to live simply and save a lot)
