Is it true that it's harder for chubby and tall girls to get a boyfriend so they would settle for a skinny or short guy?

I started thinking about this when I saw this picture and comments below it:

The girl is tall but very cute and athletic while the guy is pretty short. I don't mean he is a bad person, they may like each other because of their personalities, but it seems that tall girls are more open to dating short guys than average height girls because they can't get other guys and feel insecure.

Maybe this thing works for chubby girls too? I am an average height skinny guy and I rarely notice chubby or tall girls stare at me though other girls often do it. That's the reason I don't approach them though I'd like to. Is it because they are insecure and not because it's a turn off for them?

Any issues faced by tall women in the dating market are *at least* 99.5 percent self-imposed.
For nearly ALL men, height is a non-issue. If a tall woman has "problems finding a boyfriend", then it's almost certainly HER fault, for considering only boys above whatever height, for whatever reason.

The only men I've ever met who would actually disqualify a tall woman simply because she's tall, were men with SERIOUS insecurity issues. Like, the kind of men who "feel dominant" if they get a girlfriend who's a foot shorter and half their weight... as opposed to, y'know, actually being dominant. (:
Trust me, for us tall women this is hardly a loss. Hey short girls, you can have those guys... and their baggage. Have fun with that.

Having been built like a handrail all my life, I'm in no position to speak to the problems faced by "chubby" women (especially if "chubby" is actually intended to mean... more than just that).
I CAN tell you, though, that a woman with a certain amount of bodyfat in "all the right places" -- and/or a woman who knows how to dress her body to create the instant bombshell look -- will absolutely be INUNDATED with male attention... and devotion.

I've had boyfriends as much as 7 inches shorter than me, and played around with a few boys even shorter than that.

Hot bodies are MUCH more commonly found on shorter men than on taller men.

I really don't like it when people use the word "settle" when they're talking about other people's looks. If a girl is into a guy and she thinks he's perfect for her, SHE'S NOT SETTLING regardless of what kind of beauty standards exist in society and what "category" her guy falls under. A person only settles when THEIR specific standards are compromised for lower ones. And in this case you don't know wtf kind of standards anyone has, really.
I'm 5'7, not exactly the tallest but still, most people consider me somewhat tall, and my boyfriend is also 5'7. I didn't settle for shit just because we're the same height, I think he's so good looking, sweet, mature and kind, and height is something I've personally never had a set standard for.
Your poll options are weird because I can't speak for other people about their insecurities, or make assumptions like that. Some chubby/tall girls are insecure, others aren't.
I think this whole question is weird because who even cares about these things, there's no way to generalize this.

I am tall (5'8) and I have never had any problem with attracting a man and getting a guy. And if a guy is so shallow to dismiss you because of your height. That says a lot about him and you don't need a shallow man in your life to begin with. I've dealt with men like that and they are draining. Just full of negative energy and constantly bringing you down.

I'm 5'4 and I am chubby but I can't answer your question. When I go out I notice few guys staring at me but that's it so yeah, I'm kinda insecure about the whole dating thing. Yet, it doesn't mean I'll date the first guy who comes even if I don't like him. I'm not desperate.

As a tall girl I have no issues attracting men. Being tall is not a disadvantage for a woman as most men do not put an emphasis on height. A woman is either hot or she is not.
