I hate when my girlfriend drinks?

It p*sses me off mainly cause she can't ever go out and have a few drinks, keep control, and get herself home. It's the same bs every time. I really like her but I fcn hate her drinking. What to do what to do. I wouldn't cheat and I don't want to dump her but sometimes I wish a cool, fun, normal cute chick would come along and maybe I would dump her. I don't know Sometimes I wonder if I should just break it off others I wonder if it's just me. Once a week drunk .. On vacation with her gf's drunk four more days. It's just such a turnoff no matter how much I love her and I do a lot .. It's making me hate her. It's sad

I drink here and there I'm not straight edge but I also don't drink to the point of wrecked anymore. She's a little younger than me but I know plenty of younger chicks that would rather go do countless things on a Friday night with their boyfriend rather

It's funny I just stumbled upon this. I myself am going through the same exact situation. However, it's been over 6 1/2 years since I first asked her to slow down. She has to her credit, however, she is just frackin nuts when she does drink. The late night calls to pick her up, the pain and emotion of dealing with the after-fact. I finally stood up and decided to leave. I was hating her as well. It is a huge turn off and it will never get better. I wish I listen to advice earlier to get out but being the big- hearted guy that I am I thought I could help her, not change her. Well, here we are. A lot of scars left on this heart. I want to you think that you can help, but just remember my journey. I didn't win. I know this is an old post, but I remember wanting to leave years ago as well. Now look where I am. Finally leaving after all this time.

I know what you mean, I have had girlfriends where other guys would come up to me and tell me I need to watch her cause one day she's going to do something she going to regret and really hurt you in the process, but I would try talking to her, and if that doesn't work, either your going have to deal with it, or you might have to break it off, and if you start hating her for it better the break up with her before you say something that you really regret out of anger.

Maybe you should talk to her about it. Communicate with her. If she really cares for you she will take your opinion into consideration and do it less.

I have And she has cutback s lot. But it's still just way more than I drink and I just get turned off. Other thsn that we have no problems in over a year. I'm a really easy person to get along with and I'm not too busted :p def are personslities are conflicting s bit here but I think I'm just a little more mature I guess idk. Not to mention if I stay with her 10 years from now I won't deal with my wife sitting at the bar getting wasted ha with me sometimes sure that's coolnow and then.

Well, cutting back is a good sign, maybe this is just a phase she is going through. I hope for your sanity, happiness, and relationship that it is just a phase she is going through.But I do understand what you are going through... My boyfriend drinks until he blacks out. Its immature, annoying, and drives me crazy. Additionally, it makes me worried about him :( and I care for him like you care for your gf

well cutting back a little is progress..don't expect an instant change over night but if she loves she will eventually be able to control herself if not then leave

She def is and I don't try and change anyone. I want her to but I'm very soft about it cus I don't want to insult her I guess I don't hate her cus it it just is so unsettling. If she could go out. Have a few drinks and come home to me no prob. But she's always fcked up til she can't drive. Slurs = disgusting. Huge turnoff.
