I've known this girl for years (went to the same high school) but it wasn't until I came back from uni a couple months ago that we started hanging out more. Every time we meet for drinks as a group she singles herself out to talk to me, puts her arms around me flirtatiously, lets me hold her waist etc. But when she's sober she goes completely awkward. Last night, we met at a friend's bday party and she wasn't drinking. I said hi to her and she said hi back but spent the rest of the night on the sofa just glancing at me and avoiding eye contact when I looked back at her. I guess the situation got too odd for her as I too kept my distance and just spoke to our mutual friends, and she left shortly after. I don't get it, does she not actually like me or what?
