OK so there's this girl I like and basically she lied to me about having a boyfriend to my friend and she told HIM to tell me(which to me hurt cause it made me feel like she was scared of me or felt I couldn't handle the truth that she wasn't interested) and she confirmed it herself when I asked her, but a few weeks later I found out she doesn't have a boyfriend so I decided I came on too strong and stopped talking to her(I still said hi and had simple conversations, but didn't really try to flirt or ask any questions and didn't talk to her as much cause I thought she needed space) and now it's been a month and while I am starting to talk to her more I am wondering if she likes me because:
-She does smile and blush if I wave at her
-Hugs me around the waist instead of a side hug and she does give me a little squeeze, but the hug ends pretty fast imo like a second or two. Note I asked for the hug the first time and now I just hold my arms out when I say bye to here ever now and then when just her and I are talking
-Looks me in the eye when we talk face to face or if we are walking in the hall she will look towards me when walking
-Accepted a Valentine's Day Rose from me and took pictures with her holding it,(This was before she lied about the boyfriend)
-At first she usually initiated the conversation or tried to include me in on it then as time passed I was the one usually starting it(And stopped for a while and now am again...)
-She will laugh at anything funny I say(Like I make random comments in class to people who sit around us and she will laugh and smile)
-She tells me about her even if I don't ask(like she told me about her brothers) or if I do ask she goes into details(Like I asked about club soccer and she said it's expensive but she gets scholarships for being a good player)
Here's the thing though all of these things(Minus the rose and the details about herself) she didn't do until AFTER she said she had a boyfriend so that's why I'm wondering if she likes me or not and also why she would lie instead of saying she was not interested or not ready for a relationship cause I would have been sad, but I would have been OK and I wouldn't hold a grudge or anything mean like that.
