Wouldn't the proper term be "asshole" though? Because if not, then if I'm an "asshole," I am actually a gentlemen because quotation marks and arguing otherwise would show everyone who the loser, bitter, ugly guys are. :)
I think you are confused. Nice guys do exist but we're talking about people who front as nice guys but think this means women should be attracted to them just for being outwardly nice. That is not true kindness that is just doing something because you think the reward is worth it. True kindness is doing things because it's the right thing to do not because you get some sort of reward from it.
I actually understand completely. It's like, penguins do exist but we're talking about people who front as penguins but think this means people should consider them adorable and wonderful just for being outwardly penguins. That is not true. Being a penguin is not doing something because you think the reward is worth it. True penguins are penguins because it's the right thing to do, not because they get a reward from it.
How does it work? Nice guys being mean. Their not nice if they are mean... but if a nice guy gets mean. It's because his kindness has been mistaken for weakness. Or he's been taken advantage of.
Nah. Even though we're partly joking I'm good with being self-aware. However you should take your own advice and change your behavior. Maybe don't give out unsolicited/unwarranted advice on how to behavior to strangers. It's pretty rude, just saying.
But is being nice is actually being mean/rude aka an asshole, then being an asshole is actually being nice by the same logic. Ah, logical, modern linguistics. :D
I'm glad. Sometimes it's difficult to say whether it's a joke or not by chatting. And, well, I am aware it can be seen as rude, but in such cases I allow myself this rudeness consciously to "surprise people" and actually to push them into thinking that way whether they want or not due to incoventionationality of the encounter. And it works. I apologize then since you don't need it.
chapawapa , I apologize too if you don't need it either.
How can he be a nice guy if he is rude & mean? In my way of thinking that would make him the opposite of a nice guy.

You women really need to stop trash talking nice guys. All you're doing is sending the message that women don't like nice guys and reinforcing the perception that being a jerk is how to succeed with women. All you're doing is hurting yourselves.
@Brian___1731 For real. I'm nice to everyone. It's just who I am. If it's seen as flirting, then so be it. I don't consider it flirting (and hopefully the other person doesn't either). This is probably why I don't "get" flirting.
Omfg you people make me cringe so much, that my head starts to hurt. Nice is nice, bad is nice. Not nice= bad, bad = nice.. Stop changing the meaning of words.
I hope u mean that the guy in the meme is not rude.. but just, keeping it for the "token " reason and in reality the so claiming nice guys are rude. Am I right to assume that? Or m I wrong?
Because nice things either get put on a pedestal or get destroyed and frankly they're tired of finishing last... I mean who's really being mean or rude at this point

They're not really nice guys lmao. They just put it on because they think it means they deserve sex.

This was so hard to read. Sentence structure is fucked.
Basically, with the logic going on around here, "up" is not actually up, but really down. :)

Understood.
:)

Nope. Not every person who is mad or disappointed gets mean. That's a poor way to act
It's the same logic as "up" not really being up, but actually down because its fake up. It's not really up. :)
They think they're nice but actually it's just entitlement.
I say I'm sort of an asshole to girls and then when I act like one they're surprised. 🤷🏽♂️
Im pretty much an asshole to men... It's pretty hilarious when they feel offended 😅
And you both seem to be proud of that. Just gorgeous.
Lol ok reg welcome to the conversation
I just dropped it here to maybe let you both think about it for a moment and maybe let you think to try to change your behavior. That's all.

Please don’t confuse “nice guys” with “Reddit nice guys”
Probably because they have little to no social awareness and don't know how women work.
Because they are not nice, I mean didn't you see how much of shit are they
They can't be. If they are nice, they can't be mean.
Those "nice" guys are aren't nice. They're fuckboy losers, obviously. Just like "Mcdonalds" is actually Burger King :)
Lol if they're mean and rude, they aren't nice guys.
Not necessarily but your question/statement is true by definion or so it seems like...
How can he be a nice guy if he is rude & mean? In my way of thinking that would make him the opposite of a nice guy.

I'm thinking you mean "fake nice guy" here (based on your meme). It's because they have an ulterior motive (as @Brian___1731 pointed out).
Yeah, I mean one should either be kind to everyone or no one. Being kind to just get something out of it reveals their fakery
@Brian___1731 For real. I'm nice to everyone. It's just who I am. If it's seen as flirting, then so be it. I don't consider it flirting (and hopefully the other person doesn't either). This is probably why I don't "get" flirting.
I get that haha

Their not really nice they show their true side. Their showing fake nice.
I think it's frustration due to lack of success with women
I hope u mean that the guy in the meme is not rude.. but just, keeping it for the "token " reason and in reality the so claiming nice guys are rude.
Am I right to assume that? Or m I wrong?
Well, by your photo, you really don't look like someone pleasant or someone they'd want around.
How else would they tell you to leave them alone?
Because nice things either get put on a pedestal or get destroyed and frankly they're tired of finishing last... I mean who's really being mean or rude at this point
you pretty much answered your own question by posting that image
