Girls, How often do women change their minds on relationships?

Recently in a conversation I asked a very old close friend where she thought we were at and whether she could see us being more than friends. She says although she loves me and we both feel attraction she isn't interested or ready for that. I said thank you for the clarity because I was confused and knew she was flirting with me. Out of curiosity, are girls really as indecisive as is said? She's vacillated several times over 12 years and I wonder how possible or common it is for girls to change their minds after rejection a la Pride and Prejudice or any of the classical romance literature?

I would say that both genders are depending on a number of factors that impact their decision on that topic. A lot of people are immature, even at an older age and some have difficulties sticking to a decision because new facts appear that need to be placed in the context and that might impact a decision.

As for me, I am slow to make a decision but when I have finally made it, it is there to stay and not change every once in a while. Mainly in a relation, you cannot afford to make mistakes that impact on your emotions.

This is also the reason why I have decided not to be in a relation. I avoid all the issues that I see here on GaG so often because people have failed to make correct decisions.

Not that often maybe once in awhile I'd say to myself oh it must be nice to have a boyfriend but get over that thought in an hour or so.
