Why does it feel like I need perfect social skills to talk to women, is that just how it is or like am I crazy or something?

Like every time I talk to a girl I feel I’m absolutely just walking on eggshells. Like I say or do one slightly wrong thing and that’s it off to playing hard to get til the end of time or completely losing interest. I can’t be too interested but I also have to show enough interest and I can never be even slightly boring or dull. And if I seem at all “too” interested in sex that’s bad. Even tho I’m a guy and I’m obviously interested in sex. And each girl has different rules and stuff on how ur supposed to socialize with them. Like some women if I text them too much it’s a turn off but other women if I don’t text enough it’s a turn off. I feel like I just can’t win and have to try over and over and over just throwing shit at the wall hoping something sticks and whatever sticks is like never something I want. And is generally very time consuming. Why r women like this? Why is getting dates with women sooooo hard like I don’t understand. Wohmen explain yo selves.

It's not a game with obscure rules to learn. It's just a conversation. If you stop worrying about whether or not you can have sex with a woman, and instead focus on just talking and especially listening, it will go much better.

I don't know like almost anything. Like one time I was with this girl who complained that the guys she didn’t want to approach her always approached her and that the guys she wanted to approach her didn’t and I said how it’s somewhat similar to men where the girls I want to approach DONT always show interest back and often the girls ur not interested in show interest back. That was not the right thing to say I guess. Then later that night she hit me up late and said “dam I wanted to get laid tonight” and I was like “well uh u could come over” and then she stopped replying quickly after that. Then another time this girl asked “can we like fuck” and I said yes but I said it in a way that showed I really wanted to. Can’t be too interested in sex even if they are as well. Um countless times I text a girl some small dumb thing like cool hair or something and they reply right back but I don’t really know what to say so I don’t reply anything back and then when I text them again crickets like as if they’re mad I didn’t have anything back to say to their “thanks” as a reply. That last scenario has happened more times than I can count

If I reply to their story hey cool shoes and they say thanks. What I supposed to respond to thanks? I could 100% do that with a guy and it wouldn’t be seen as weird or anything so why do women get so bothered by it?

I don’t know if I was interested or not cuz I don’t even know her tho? She passed the basic looks test and I was curious to see more. And even when I go for girls I’d definitely be interested I. This still happens so it’s not that.
