Girls, How to know if a girl think of you as a romantic interest or just a person to talk to?

My English is kinda bad so bear with me a bit here. I met a girl at a park near our home. After our first meeting she breakup with her boyfriend (most likely a coincident and have nothing to do with me). We continue to met each other at that park several time and she is really open up. She talk a lot about her personal life and don't really mind about personal space or skin touching. She also said that she just got out of a relationship and she didn't want to take part in another one for the time being, so i hold myself back. But the strange thing is that despite having a lively conversation in real life, it takes her hours just to reply my message (the 'seen' function can't be trusted). Since she always had her phone near her, i don't think she can 'miss' my message that many time. Some friend of mine said that girl only talk to me because she need someone to talk to. Others said she kinda in to me but try to keep some distance (due to recent broke up). And i don't know which answer is the correct one.

The way you describe her behavior, I tend to think that she only needs someone to talk to when she is in a state where she feels depressed or low. I did not say that she suffers from depression but only a state that is similar to a depression.

I personally don't think she has a romantic interest but this is difficult to say when one has so little information and does not know that person.

The fact that she just came out of a failed relation is also a factor why she wants to keep a certain distance.

Just act as if she only needs someone to talk to and don't try to hit on her. That would not be the right thing to do and would only lead to her taking even more distance because it would look as if you don't respect her situation.

I think you should wait and observe things... like after my recent breakup i spent so much time with my guy friend... but that doesn't mean i like him romantically...
