What if your ex deleted social media months after the breakup?

So I recently discovered he deleted his instagram permanently it since I can no longer find it and see our chag thred. I know I should not look at it but I was curious to know if he blocked me or not. Even my friends can’t see his account anymore. After the breakup I already deleted hin from my followers so it’s not like he even saw my stuff or something. He hasn’t blocked me on whatsapp which was our main app and he’s still online there sometimes.

Anyone experienced the same or did the same and what could it mean? It is 5 months post break up and I am the dumpee.

I think you are trying to find traces of a connection with you, as if this was related to you. The only circumstance he could have deleted that because of you is that he noticed only after 5 months that you removed him from your followers, but for sure he tried to check your profile a couple of times already during that time (just like you do, generally exes check each other a bit, not to rebound but out of curiosity only). And even if he didn't, why would he react so negatively now? Why would he care now? The only case where this could happen is that he had another woman then he got dumped so he went to check your Instagram only now because wanting to see the chances to get back to the "last choice" option which is you (again, very unlikely he didn't check before) and when he saw he was both dumped by her and removed by his last choice too he melted down and deleted that.
However all this unlikely scenario gets even less likely if we consider he kept you on Whatsapp (and can contact you if he wants something from you).

So my conclusion is that, most likely (most most), this event didn't have anything to do with you, but probably with another girl he had an argument with, or failed with, or even with friends he had a heavy group argument with.
There are also other possibilities like he got fed up of social media in general because he was addicted to scroll content and it was annoying, or was fed up with the poor quality of contents people share, or he made the account only for a single reason (like checking a girl or be noticed by someone, or to get popular with contents he create etc) and he deleted that because he was not interested in that purpose anymore.
Last chance: sometimes Instagram is crazy and deletes users for no apparent reasons because the algorithm thinks they do suspicious activities by tracking their behaviour.

Note: Instagram accounts can be reactivated if they are only deactivated and not actually deleted.
