Flirting/Hints through Text?

Anonymous

When I was in middle school, I met a girl who I became close with and talked often to. We didn't speak as much through high school, but the relationship never turned sour. Then, by coincidence, we both happened to take an online college course and discovered on the first day that the other was there.

She asked if I wanted to exchange numbers, and throughout the semester we started "talking" more and more. Most of the time we would message each other in class, and less so outside of it. When we text each other outside of class, she'll sometimes read the message and react to it (She'll use a Loved reaction), then reply later. In the class, the teacher called us by our names combined with a prefix related to the subject (think something Mr. John, but different), which she began using in messages. When I answered a question, she would message me privately things like "good job Mr. John", and she would send various emojis (smirking, laughing, etc.) in her messages.

Text is much harder to understand compared to real life. Am I missing flirting or hints she's trying to give out or is she just trying to be friendly?
