I'm going on vacation with a large group, including girls, and we're going to be staying in a small apartment so quite cramped. I normally sleep in my boxers but my (quite conservative) mom says it would be disrespectful to do that with girls present and would make them uncomfortable. Is that true? (We're all 18/19)

It's sort of a social custom, customary, to wear clothes around platonic strangers; even around friends. Certainly around colleagues, socially.

But the issue is probably more about what's below your waist, than above it. Did you really mean boxers? Boxers will be ok. Pants would be better. A shirt? Nah, doesn't seem that important. You might make the most conservative girls feel a bit uncomfortable, but it's not rude or inappropriate exactly.

Clothing is good when sheets and bedding is rough. Or maybe you'll get stuck without a large enough blanket, and then the clothes prevent you from being exposed, naked.

Or maybe there's mosquitos.

Or maybe you get an erection. Wouldn't that be awkward? So wear at least boxers, preferably pants. The rest, doesn't matter, really.
