How to approach new/unknown girls without being overbearing and without making the girl feel like 'nope, not into that'?

I used to approach myself to introduce myself. And found that very few girls actually reciprocated that. The ones who did are really amazing by the way.

But just what went wrong with the others? Also, I do not understand this. Why would girls be very diplomatic about something? Guys are not uncomfortable saying NO to each other's faces.

In fine being approached as long ss he's approaching me alone and in a public place where i dont feel cornered. I hate when guys used to approach me with their group of friends. Because if we say no to the guy then his friends either laugh at him or they say rude things to me or they have the nerve to approach me assuming i’ll go for one of them instead. So i have no problem being approached, but that doesn't guarantee the guy a yes. I also dont mind approaching someone but if i do, the same goes, public place so he doesn't feel cornered hy some stranger and approaching him alone because i know girl groups love to diss someone just as much as guys

I have very very few friends. So I am always alone for the majority. Maybe it is the way I look. Does that have to do with anything?

I am not bad looking. I know that. But I just have this insecurity of being rejected, even in professional settings because of my height (157 cm. I can understand here.) and because of how I look.

When i say public place, i dont mean a crowded setting. Just a place where she won't feel cornered and fully alone in case the guy turned out to be a creep

Oh... yes, I get it. She should feel secure and safe. That is actually one of my objectives when interacting with any girl, specifically.

I intend to behave in such a way that would gradually make her feel safe around me. At least start feeling like that.

@DizzyDesii Actually, no. That's the difference between men and women. Girls give insults (which offend the guys), but guys give compliments (which offend the girls)! Hahaha 😄

@Jamie05rhs thats not what i meant. Back in high school, if a guy approached me with his group then his group would make diss remarks if i rejected the guy. If a guy approaches alone but is approaching girl who is in a group of girls then the girls will diss him although he was brave enough to approach alone. Its all immaturity really

I think that just because you get no a lot does not mean you're doing anything wrong, necessarily anyway. I think it's probably pretty normal for cold approaches to get rejected, for many various reasons. You also have to take into account that most people do not have very good social or communication skills.

Sometimes people are apprehensive to out right reject someone incase they react violently or to spare their feelings. If the girls didn’t reciprocate your introduction they probably aren’t interested so just move on, don’t take it personally.

We get approached all the time and most of those we really don't want to be.
