Should guys give their deepest selves to women? I think so, but at the same time, maybe men rather not be a ‘mess of emotions,’ and think there’s more to life, than just a “mess of emotions,” and trying to make sense of those.

I suppose there needs to be a balance and both genders need to see that.

To be fair though, women are much more adept at picking up on things like facial expressions, tone of voice, body language, etc. I saw imaging of brain activity when showing faces to men and women. The area that was active in the women's brains was much larger. I think sometimes women don't understand that our brains aren't made for it the way yours are.

For the sake of putting it into the perspective of the understand I've developed, let's say you can rate how angry someone's face looks on a scale of 1-10. Women might notice it if it's only at a 1 or 2, but a man might literally not even see it until it's up to a 5 or 6. In other words, men in general are less likely to notice emotional ques until they reach a more obvious level of intensity.

Yes it's learned and important for men to be taught how to spot such cues, but women have a much easier time picking it up than men because of the way their brains function. The male and female brains develop differently in certain aspects due partially to hormones. While modern civilization has brought a very different dynamic to our species than in most of the past 200,00 years Homo sapiens and 1.5-2 million years Homo genus were known to inhabit the Earth, I'm sure you can imagine why we evolved to emphasize certain traits in the male and female brains due to women historically being the primary care givers and men being the primary hunters and warriors. I wasn't saying it's completely biological and not learned, just that it comes more naturally to women have they have an easier time learning it because of their brain development.
