Big Age Gap Attraction?

I am a single, childless, 51 year old man. I went into a doctors office to make my first, ever appointment two days ago. While there, being friendly like I am, I was chatting up and doing good with my humor and wit with the two, twenty something year old receptionist. During our interactions, I pointed out that neither had engagement or wedding bands. Of the two, one was married and wasn’t wearing any rings due to the fact she was required to wash her hands a lot. Also, as our interactions progressed, the second receptionist would not stop making eye contact with me and was continuously keeping our conversation going. Clearly flirting with me. And no, I was not mistaking her friendliness with a required job duty.

Today, I showed up to reschedule my appointment, and after she saw me walk through the door, her face lit up with a huge smile.

I had decided earlier in the day, that while I was there, I would motion her to come to the window. When she did, and because there were other patients waiting, I slipped her a note asking for her name and phone number. That was when she really perked up, accepted the note, returned to her desk and began writing down her name and number. All of a sudden she stopped, stood up, exited out a door, walked across a hallway, and entered another office.

Once I was given my new appointment about 10 minutes later, she had yet to return to her desk. So I went and sat down, fumbled with my phone in order to give her another five minutes, but she had yet to come back.

I then approached the receptionist window again, borrowed an ink pen, picked one business card out of a stack, wrote my number on it, handed it, and the ink pen, back to her coworker, explaining that the card was for the single woman and thanked her and exited the building.

The opinion I am soliciting is, was I being a dirty, older man? Or should I just wait and see what happens later?
