I am straight though. But I have noticed girls stare in a very subtle way and a lot of times I have noticed girls staring at me when I am not looking. And quickly look away as I turn my head. Guys stare a lot but girls seem to ignore.
All my life I have been called handsome. Still I rarely see any girls staring at me. But guys stare all the time. Im 6'4, fairskin, bearded, fit. So?

1. Girls may be staring at you subtly, but you're not noticing. Many girls are socialized to look away quickly or stare discreetly, so you might miss their glances.
2. Your mannerisms and style may come across as more "masculine," appealing mainly to other men. Even though you identify as straight, your appearance and presence could be attracting more attention from gay men.
3. Girls may find you physically attractive but your personality or vibes don't come across as approachable or inviting. Physical attractiveness is only part of the equation for most women.
4. Girls are generally socialized to be more reserved in expressing interest in public settings. Many will wait for clearer signs of reciprocation before more openly checking someone out.

I’m not exactly sure of what you’re asking, but usually when people stare at you it’s because you look strange or you are good looking, but you have been told you’re handsome so it’s probably that. As to guys staring at you more than girls, I’m not sure.. maybe girls are more aware their staring and try to hide it?
They might be secretly staring. But thats the question, why am I not able to catch them stare lol what are they scared of lol
