Do you think it's a great compliment to tell a woman that she looks like a rennaisance mermaid?

My female friend said any woman would want to hear that she looks like a mermaid.

I said that to my crush who changed up her hair, and she seemed happy, and that's the look she was going for.

I'm just curious if my female friend is really accurate or she doesn't know what she's talking about.
