There is a girl I have been seeing around my apartment complex for a few months now. We both are constantly making eye contact with each other from far away but have not spoken yet. Whenever I get close to her she looks the opposite direction or acts like I am not there. I gave her a wave one day and she smiled and said hey. A few days after that she started walking by my porch where I always sit and she would look at me then look away quickly. This lasted a few days but now she is back to ignoring me when I get close and has stopped walking by my porch. Is she just nervous and wants me to approach her?

It’s possible she’s just not into you. If she said hi when you overtly said hi then perhaps she was being polite. She’s not obligated to show attention every time you happen to cross paths.


I don’t think she’s nervous…. If she does like you but doesn’t say something every time you see eo perhaps she’s just distracted or thinking about something else. Only time can tell…

Sounds to me like you are the nervous one. Make your intentions clear with people and take what you want. There are those that get what they want because they take what they want and there are those that sit back and wonder why they never get what they want and instead ask internet strangers about the girl instead of asking the girl about the girl. Go talk to her. The worst that could happen is a restraining order and most states those only last a maximum of 5 years and there are plenty of other girls out there.
