AHH My crush asked me why I was staring at him!?

OK so here's the background:

I think this guy likes me too and I've asked questions on here and gotten the same opinion from many people. To sum it up- we have good eye contact, he's given me prolonged eye contact before (call it staring if you want), he constantly teases me (playfully), said he was going to protect me from all the bad guys out there, usually makes an effort to go on break with me at work no matter how our shifts do/don't match up, said he was going to tell another guy I had a crush on him (when I don't), pokes me

So today he calls my work phone from his:

Him: "why do you keep staring at me"

Me: (kind of freaked out) "Am I?...Well I'm really bored down here..."

Him: "Well that doesn't make me feel any better"

Me: How does it make you feel then?

Him: I don't know how I should feel about it

Me: Well, I'm not a creep so you don't need to be creeped out

Him: I still don't know how to feel haha

During the entire convo we were both kind of laughing.

SHould I be worried or glad that he caught this? I realize now other stuff I SHOULD have said to be more flirty bu I got nervous and customers were interrupting and I couldn't...

Do you think he was creeped out or likes me and was just messing with me?

It is very hard for girls to creep out guys. You would have to be a psycho mass murderor or something crazy to creep out most any guy. Just because its easy for guys to creep out girls does not mean guys react the same way when we catch girls looking at us. If anything we will just think you really like us. I would not spend a split second entertaining this idea. It just does not happen very often at all.

There's no reason you can't bring it up again, or just keep staring until he asks again.

True. Would it be weird if I texted him and was like "you should feel flattered I was staring at you!" jk I don't think I could do that because it's been like 2 hours since it happened lol

Stranger things have worked for people than that, Personally I wouldn't because it sounds a little egotistical, but that's just me.

maybe... I was thinking of texting him just so the subject isn't dropped. Any ideas? or just leave it be?

You could always pull the mysterious card on him and say "there was a reason I was starring..." and not say anything until he responds. then you can ease you way into it.

He kind of hinted that he wanted you to say that you like him.

When you responded that you were bored, he said "Well that doesn't make me feel any better."

He seemed as if he was waiting for a certain reply.

I don't think he would be creeped out. I think he already has a feeling that you do like him.

I was thinking of sending him this text tomorrow while I'm at work and he isn't... "where are you? I have nobody to stare at :(" something alone those lines...yes or no?

It seems like he may like you too, you don't have to be afraid to let him know that you do.
